One of the most important royal palaces still in use in Europe. This fortified palace was built during different historical times, Islamic motifs, Baroque, Renaissance, and others. It was also declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. This royal palace is still the official residence for the Royal Spanish family when they visit the city. To determine its origin one must go back to the middle ages, from this period the Alcazar was incorporating different styles from the Islamic and Christian reminiscences.
