The actual steps may vary depending on the OS version and device model.
[Install eSIM]
*Each QR Code can only be used on one device. Once installed, the eSIM will be bound to that device and cannot be transferred to another.
Option ① In-app Installation:
Open the Trip.com App > Go to Account > All Bookings > Tap the “Install” button.
Option ② Scan QR code / Manually enter eSIM information to install:
1. Open the QR code attachment from the order in the Trip.com app, and print it in advance or save it to another electronic device.
2. Open "Cellular Network (iOS)" or "SIM Card Management (Android)" in Settings.
3. While the phone is connected to the internet, click "Add eSIM" and scan the QR code to install.
4. If you can't scan the code, enter the "SM-DP+Address" and "Activation Code" from the order voucher to install.
5. If steps 3/4 fail, your phone may be locked by the home carrier (unable to use other carrier networks). Contact the carrier to unlock it before using eSIM.
[Using eSIM]
1. Turn off the primary SIM card and turn on the eSIM network switch.
2. Enable "Cellular Network (iOS)" or "SIM Card (Android)".
3. Turn on "Data Roaming".

Important note

■ After arriving in the package coverage area, enable "data roaming" for the eSIM to access the internet normally.

• Supports multiple installations.

The eSIM can be deleted and reinstalled on the same device, with a maximum of 10 reinstallations supported.

The eSIM can be reinstalled within the QR code validity period (for unactivated eSIMs) or the package validity period (for activated eSIMs). Once the validity period expires, installation will no longer be possible.

Disable roaming on your domestic SIM card

Before using eSIM, be sure to disable data roaming on your domestic SIM card to avoid high international roaming charges from using your domestic mobile network. You are responsible for all related costs, including roaming fees, overseas SIM card/eSIM purchase expenses, and transportation fees, with no additional compensation provided.

Adhering to fair data usage principles

To ensure internet quality and comply with fair data usage principles (FUP), carriers may monitor users who excessively consume data within short periods, which could lead to connection interruptions or reduced speeds.

To maintain a stable connection, it is recommended to avoid high-data activities such as watching/downloading long videos, software updates, or internet sharing (hotspot).

Renewal service notice

1. Please confirm before purchase

• Independence: The renewal booking and the original booking are two completely separate packages, and the data and expiration dates will not be combined.

• Device restrictions: Renewal is only applicable to the "originally linked device". If you need to change your phone, do not purchase a renewal booking. Please purchase a new booking instead.

• Purchase path: Go to the "original booking page" and tap the "Renew" button to complete the action.

• No reinstallation needed: You can use it directly after renewal as long as the original eSIM settings haven't been deleted.

2. Traffic and expiration date activation rules

The traffic and expiration date after renewal will be added (not accumulated) to the original booking, with the following activation rules:

Method 1 automatic activation: The expiration date has been reached

The high-speed data of the original booking has not been used up, but the package has expired → The renewed booking will automatically take effect after the original booking expires, with no manual action required.

Method 2 manual activation: High-speed traffic has been used up and needs to be activated in advance

The high-speed data of the original booking has been used up, resulting in slower internet speed, but the package has not yet expired, so the system cannot automatically activate the renewed booking → If you need to use the renewed booking in advance, please contact the supplier's customer support to request "early termination of the original booking".

Note: Early termination of the original booking is an irreversible action. Refund requests due to inability to restore the original booking will not be accepted.

Troubleshooting

If you cannot connect to the internet, please check:

1. eSIM has been set as the default mobile data card

2. Data roaming is turned on

3. Turn off airplane mode after enabling it

4. Manually switch carriers

5. Manually set APN

Internet coverage

Actual signal strength, internet speed and 4G/5G service display may vary depending on location, local carrier network coverage, device compatibility, as well as environmental factors such as terrain, building obstructions and weather conditions.
