In the morning, a private car will depart from downtown Datong and head straight to the we'll proceed to Ying County to visit the world's tallest wooden structure—the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda. This (Liao Dynasty) marvel, constructed entirely with traditional mortise-and-tenon joints, is supported by 24 inclined columns and features 54 types of intricate dougong (bracket sets). The ground floor houses a statue of Sakyamuni Buddha, while inscriptions by literati from various dynasties bear witness to centuries of historical changes. Climbing the pagoda offers a bird's-eye view of its complete structure.

Next, we'll drive to the Hengshan Hanging Temple in Hunyuan County. This Hanging Monastery amid the Cliffs, built during the Northern Wei Dynasty, is renowned for its thrilling plank paths and over 100 niches housing Buddhist statues. Visitors can ascend to experience the awe-inspiring sensation of standing suspended in mid-air, with key photography spots including the smiling "adorable Buddha" in Cave 3 and the panoramic view of the cliff-side plank paths.

(Please note: Tickets for ascending and visiting the Hanging Monastery can only be purchased on-site (with a daily limit on ticket sales). If the on-site tickets are sold out, you can still enjoy a distant view of the Hanging Monastery, and the ticket fee involved (RMB 100 per person) will be refunded to you. In the afternoon, go to Yungang Grottoes, one of China's four major grotto complexes. The site features the majestic 20th Cave Open-Air Giant Buddha and the 17-meter-tall seated Buddha in Cave 5, alongside over 50,000 Buddhist statues spanning from the Northern Wei Dynasty to the Ming and Qing dynasties, showcasing a millennium of sculptural art evolution. The newly added Yungang Art Museum and Dongshan Bodhi Art Zone feature eco-friendly installations crafted from industrial waste, creating a unique dialogue with the ancient Buddhist carvings that visitors are free to explore.

The itinerary includes first-entry tickets, private car transfers, and private guide services, with no shopping stops or hidden fees.
