Itinerary
Embark on a 1-day tour to explore the breathtaking Tierra del Fuego and have the opportunity to observe king penguins. The journey begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Punta Arenas (city center). Cross the Strait of Magellan by ferry, with the destination being the small town of Porvenir on Tierra del Fuego, a sailing time of approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival, visit Porvenir and enjoy lunch there. Then proceed to the King Penguin Natural Reserve, where you can witness the majestic king penguins, the second-largest penguin species in the world. Spend about an hour at the reserve. Continue to Cape Delgada on the Strait of Magellan for a second ferry ride (estimated time: 30 minutes). Visit the historic site of Estancia San Gregorio, a ranch dating back to 1878. Finally, return to Punta Arenas.
There are 3 itineraries to choose from, which may vary depending on ferry schedules, park visiting hours, and weather conditions.
Route 1: Punta Arenas - Porvenir - King Penguin Natural Reserve - Punta Delgada - San Gregorio - Punta Arenas.
Route 2: Punta Arenas - San Gregorio - Punta Delgada - Cerro Sombrero - King Penguin Natural Reserve - Porvenir - Punta Arenas.
Route 3: Punta Arenas - San Gregorio - Punta Delgada - Cerro Sombrero - King Penguin Natural Reserve - Punta Delgada - Punta Arenas.

If you have other transportation arrangements scheduled for that evening, such as a bus or flight, we do not recommend joining this tour.
