Details: After a 1 hour drive from San Pedro de Atacama we arrive at the third largest geothermal field in the world and the largest in the southern hemisphere in the Atacama desert. At 13,780 feet (4,200 meters) above sea level, the Tatio Geysers are a natural wonder that will take your breath away, in more ways than one. Later, we enjoy a delicious breakfast before visiting the next point.

Stop at: Vado del Rio Putana
Details: See endemic flora and fauna, and stop at a lagoon to see flamingos.

Stop at: Machuca
Details: We visit the town of Machuca for about 30 minutes where there is an old church and where you can also eat a llama roast. On Mondays and Tuesdays the town is closed, so we don't stop. Afterwards, we return to San Pedro de Atacama.
