▲ The Leshan Giant Buddha stands 71 meters tall, with a head height of 14.7 meters, ears 7 meters long, a nose 5.6 meters long, eyebrows 5.6 meters long, a mouth and eyes 3.3 meters long, and a foot instep 8.5 meters wide, capable of seating over a hundred people. The Leshan Giant Buddha is not only a symbol of Buddhist culture but also embodies the wisdom and craftsmanship of ancient artisans. The Giant Buddha sits at the confluence of the Min River, Dadu River, and Qingyi River, intended to mitigate floods and ensure the safety of boats. The Leshan Giant Buddha holds immense historical and artistic value, reflecting the developed economy and convenient transportation status of Jiazhou during the Tang Dynasty. Since its completion, the Leshan Giant Buddha has undergone multiple repairs and is currently well-protected and maintained.
