Around noon, disembark in the town of Cochem and use 2.5 hours of free time to explore the charming streets of the Old Town. Discover the market square and wander amongst the alleys and laneways, admiring the beautiful architecture of the half-timbered houses.
Hike up to Cochem Reichsburg for fantastic panoramic vistas of the surrounding area, or choose to take the chairlift. Stop for a drink in one of the numerous wine bars or browse the shops for some local products, before heading back to Alken on the boat.
