Reach the end of the Pan-American Highway to feel like you're at the end of the world
We do interpretive walks of the nature and landscape of Tierra del Fuego
We'll visit the sea, forest, and mountains, discovering the magic of the end of the world
Itinerary
Starting from Ushuaia, we'll take National Route No. 3, which will accompany us for almost the entire tour of the park. Our first stop will be the Cañadón del Toro, where we'll appreciate different landscapes characteristic of Tierra del Fuego, such as the huge peat bogs and the so-called "tree cemetery," forests felled during the prison era that silently tell us the story of Ushuaia's origins as a penal colony. In this area, we'll also take a walk along the Pipo River, crossing the centuries-old forests to reach a small waterfall.

We'll then head to the Zaratiegui Bay to admire the combination of environments that makes this national park unique: "the Andes, the forest, and the sea all merge in one place." The famous End of the World Post Office is also there, where, if it's open, you can get your passport stamped or send a postcard from the end of the continent. From here, we'll start another incredible trail that runs along the coast of the Beagle Channel through a Guindo forest with exits to beautiful beaches of unique colors.

We'll continue our journey to the Lapataia River to walk upstream to its source in the glacial lake Acigami (Roca), one of the most unforgettable postcards in Tierra del Fuego.

Finally, we'll arrive at the Lapataia Bay area, where we'll combine different short trails to visit and learn about the environments impacted by the beaver, reach viewpoints with unique views, and finally finish the walk in Lapataia Bay, literally the "end of America." This is where you'll find the last kilometer of the Pan-American Highway (and Route No. 3), which runs from Alaska to the southernmost tip of this national park.
