It was good. However, the route is long, and in the end, there's too little time (less than 3 hours) for swimming. Ideally, the trip could start at 8 a.m., for example, and/or return later. That would allow for more time. Lunch break wasn't even factored in.

Hristo was our guide and he was outstanding! You can tell that he is pasionate about his job and bulgarian history. That's why I highly recommend you to choose this tour. Sorry, I forgot the name of our bus driver, but he was incredible and nice too (safe ride and good humour). Rila Monastery and Boyana church are a must-see in Bulgaria, and thanks to Hristo now we know more about them.
Reviews: Rila Monastery & Thermae Full-Day Tour from Sofia

The trip to the monastery and spa was very well-planned and there were 2 stops near the monastery before and after the tour. Our guide Georgi was really friendly, welcoming and gave a really informative and interesting tour in the Rila Monastery. The tour was also possible with audio guide in different languages. Really loved the little bakery near the monastery, definitely recommend to try the mekitsi. The spa was also very nice and relaxing, keep in mind to bring your own slippers and the ticket to the spa is only in cash. The group of 10, who we were travelling with, was really fun and friendly.
