The trip was well-organised, starting and finishing on time. Our bus driver/tour guide, Russel, demonstrated his superb expertise by blending great driving and comprehensive local knowledge, with subtle humour and wit. The Milford Sound cruise and buffet lunch continued along this vein, making the trip a wonderful experience. While the overall coach conditions were satisfactory, more seat cushioning would improve comfort levels, given the extended times of the return trip. Well Done.★

I would like to commend Pure Milford for allowing me to change my tour a day earlier due to weather. I contacted Backpacker Deals two days prior because many people in Queenstown were disappointed that their tour had been cancelled due to risk of avalanche. They didn’t help me and told me that my tour was still going on the day that I booked which was 100% chance of rain. I literally contacted Pure Milford in transit from Queenstown to Te Anau in email praying someone would respond and they did. They had two seats open the same day that I arrived and allowed me to change. If not, I would have missed this very valuable opportunity of my life. Brendan is an excellent driver with a nice sense of humor thoroughly explaining everything along the way making everyone laugh and enjoying themselves with music. I thoroughly enjoyed my bus tour with him and the various stops along the way. Their boat tour on a catamaran was awesome! Lots of room to view from various areas. I highly recommend this tour. You won’t regret it!★

I booked one day and went the next. It was a small group with few people, and the foreign driver/guide was beautiful, kind, and incredibly attentive. She provided detailed explanations throughout the trip, stopped at every attraction to take photos for us, and even prepared local plant information and drew a diagram explaining the formation of the fjords. On the way back from the boat, she thoughtfully provided chocolates and umbrellas for when it rained. The customer service was also very patient, assisting us whenever we were worried about getting lost. A great experience!★

The jet boat tour with Fjordland-Jet was truly unique. Superbly organized and very professionally executed. We had a lot of fun and received valuable information about the lake, the river, the environment, and the filming locations of the LOTR movie set. Our skipper, Chris, was very attentive. The landing in Shallow Bay was another highlight. The entire tour was completely untouristy, focusing instead on nature and authenticity. Afterwards, the two of us stopped for coffee and cake at Woodstone Farm, which is about 6 km from Te Anau. There, you can also admire the farm and its animals.★
