Evaluation: Nanshe Village in Dongguan, an ancient village with a history of more than 800 years, is famous for its well-preserved ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Nanshe Village covers an area of about 110,000 square meters, with 32 existing ancestral halls, more than 500 ancient houses, 25 ancient wells, and 5 temples. The village is centered on the pond, with ancestral halls on both sides, winding alleys, and densely populated houses, showing the characteristics of the water village in the Pearl River Delta. The ancient building complex in Nanshe Village represents the Lingnan style and the characteristics of the Pearl River Delta water village. It is one of the relatively well-preserved ancient building complexes from the Ming and Qing Dynasties in my country. Most of the buildings in the village are in the form of "three rooms and two corridors", covering an area of dozens to nearly 100 square meters, with stone wall foundations, blue brick walls, and door frames covered with red sandstone. Nanshe Village is not only a witness to history, but also a rare typical ancient village of Ming and Qing Dynasties in Lingnan. This is not only a treasure land for tourists to experience the traditional culture and architectural art of Lingnan, but also an example for studying my country's ancient agricultural settlement culture and Lingnan's ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties. It has very high historical and cultural value and architectural art value.
