The ancient theater of Epidaurus, built in 45 BC and dating back 2,500 years, is located on the hillside, and the annual Epidaurus celebration is held here. The circular theater expands upwards from the ground floor and can accommodate more than 18,000 spectators. Standing in the circle at the center of the theater, even the sound of tearing a piece of paper can be heard clearly in any corner of the theater. Nafplionis located at the northern end of the Argolic Gulf and is a scenic, historic harbor town. The old town is surrounded by the sea on three sides, where the azure bay, ancient cobblestone streets, and soft-colored buildings complement each other, exuding a tranquil and elegant Mediterranean atmosphere. The city is dotted with open-air cafes and dining venues, where visitors can sit under umbrellas and enjoy a coffee. At dusk, streetlights gradually turn on, casting a warm glow on the marble ground and adding a romantic and quiet atmosphere to the square. The streets are lined with craft shops, specialty souvenir stores, artistic cafes, and authentic restaurants. Strolling along the streets, you can see balconies of traditional buildings, brightly colored doors and windows, and small shops full of local life. The end of the street connects to a tree-lined park with dappled shade and a quiet environment, perfect for a walk, a rest, or enjoying the warm sunshine.Nafplio · 24.5 km from Epidaurus

Mycenae is the ruins of an Aegean civilization city located on the Argos plain in northeastern Peloponnese, Greece, between Corinth and Argos. It is the capital of the Achaeans in the legend of Homer, built by Perseus and ruled by Agamemnon during the Trojan War. The Mycenaean civilization was a late Bronze Age civilization in Greece, named after the city of Mycenae in the Peloponnese. Around 2000 BC, the Greeks began to settle in the southern tip of the Balkans. From the first half of the 16th century BC, some slave countries gradually formed, and the Mycenaean civilization appeared. It has appeared in Mycenae, Tilins, Pylos in the Peloponnese, Thebes, Orhominos, Grasse and Athens in central Greece, and Jolkos in Thessalia. Corinth Canalis a unique view that blends human engineering with natural terrain. The canal cuts through the hard rock of the isthmus, directly connecting the Saronic Gulf on the Aegean Sea side with the Gulf of Corinth on the Ionian Sea side, allowing ships to cross this narrow strip of land without having to sail around the Peloponnese peninsula. The canal is approx. 6 km long, the waterway is at sea level with no locks, showcasing the ingenuity of its construction and adding a breathtaking sight to the coastal landscape of Greece. The canal cuts deep into the ground from the surface, forming a narrow and straight gorge, with limestone cliffs on both sides rising nearly vertically, tens of meters above the water.Loutraki-Perachora · 38.5 km from Epidaurus

The real open-air ancient theater built nearly 2,500 years ago, with more than 30 rows of marble seats surrounding the central stage, looks like an open folding fan, very spectacular and beautiful. It can accommodate more than 10,000 people to enjoy the performance at the same time. It still has practical functions until now. If you stand in the center of the stage and shout, you can really hear it from the back row sitting high up. It's amazing. You have to admire the wisdom and creativity of the ancient Greeks.

The ancient city of Mycenae, located between Argos and Corinth in the northern Peloponnese peninsula of Greece, is a Bronze Age Aegean civilization site. Highlights: ① Lion Gate: The northwest entrance to the ancient city, built from massive stones weighing 120 tons. The lintel features a double lion relief, symbolizing royal power. It is one of the earliest examples of relief architecture in Europe, showcasing megalithic construction techniques. ② Gold Mask and Burial Site: The "Agamemnon Gold Mask" unearthed from pit burial site A, crafted using the hammered stone technique, reflects funerary culture.

We stopped in Zakynthos on our drive to Athens. The narrow, man-made canal, with its towering, steep cliffs, is visually stunning. Standing on the bridge, the cliffs appear nearly 100 meters high – truly breathtaking. We arrived late, so we missed the daytime blue-green waters, but the warm, dusky lights illuminating the banks and the long, narrow canal stretching into the distance created a captivating atmosphere. We were still awestruck by the magnificent sight. No need to take a special detour; a short stop off the highway is perfect for sightseeing and definitely worth stopping for.
