Reviews: From Prague to Český Krumlov - Full-Day Trip with Live Guide

Cesky Krumlov is a beautiful place and worth the journey from Prague, believe what other reviews say. The day trip includes travel from Prague, a short orientation once in the village, three hours free time which is enough for exploring, shopping and eating, followed by a guided tour of the interiors of the castle, which I feel needs to be stated ckearly (maybe rephrase the description?). Although it was September the town was full of tourists. The other side of the river is good for photos of the castle but don't waste more than 15-20 minutes there, the main town is where you want to be. Some practicalities: For those interested in garnet and Moldavite shopping there is an official Granat Turnov store (same prices as their online store). There were free toilets in the monastery garden (or I got there when the cleaner was on a lunch break), elsewhere 20crowns.★

The local guide was very enthusiastic, the accommodations and attractions were good, and the food was also acceptable. However, the airport pickup and connections were a bit disorienting, and the local tour groups were really crowded.★
