Reviews: Giverny and Monet's House Half Day Trip from Paris Guide or Audio

Booked this tour through the front desk of our hotel. The concierge could not give me details as to the size of the tour, I was hoping for a smaller tour however, we had one that had 40+ people. There was good communication from the tour company of the meet up location. Our transport was a large double-decker motor coach for the 90 minute ride out to Giverny. Even though it was a gray and cloudy day with occasional showers, the gardens were beautiful and the reflecting ponds amazing. I will caution you that it was very crowded, but I was happy that we had a time stamped entry. Our guide walked us through the entire gardens and gave background on Monet‘s life there and how he built and selected his plants for the garden. It was very beneficial to have gone to the Marmottan Monet Museum the day prior to Giverny and then go to L’Orangerie the following day. It was a very nice progression of seeing the gardens that inspired his paintings.
