We could have not been more thrilled with our VIP dinner and concert experience. We took the funicular up as we had included that in our package. Once inside we were greeted warmly and the Mat’r D was exuberant and fun as he directed us to a beautiful window front seat. Our server was also very friendly and helpful explaining our dinner choices which this night were venison or lake trout. We decided on the venison which was mouthwatering delicious! It was a spectacular 3 course meal with the dessert that was a fluffy egg custard filled with berries compote and lightly dusted with confectioners sugar. Following dinner we were guided up 4 flights of stairs - I mention this so if you have mobility issues you will have no surprises, with the VIP package your seats are reserved in the closer rows but honestly there are no bad seats. We were stage left 3rd row aisle and had a perfect unobstructed view. The musicians were incredibly talented and each was given the opportunity to showcase their individual talents. They ended up playing several extra pieces that were not in the program which we enjoyed so much. This entire experience was so magical for us! We were stopping through Salzburg only for a couple of days for our 30th anniversary and were so thrilled to have this memory! Well worth every penny!
