"I used an eSIM on a trip to the UAE (Dubai). The main advantage was the instant connection. I activated it with a QR code in a couple of minutes. • Pros: No need to look for physical mobile phone stores. The original SIM card stays in the phone to receive SMS from banks, and the internet is transmitted through the eSIM. • Call quality: The coverage in the Emirates is excellent, the internet speed is faster than in many hotels. • Price: It was significantly cheaper than roaming from my home carrier.
