Reviews: Yala National Park Safari Tours - Half Day & Full Day

This was probably one of the best experiences of my life! Our driver Madu was incredibly knowledgeable about the animals and wildlife and made the day enjoyable. We were really lucky to see elephants, 3 leopards and even a sloth bear and a lot of this was down to Madu and a little bit of luck!

A pretty good tour. But read the description carefully, because you have to pay a separate entrance fee to enter the park. There was a whole traffic jam for the leopard, and it was sleeping in the branches, so you could only see a small part of the animal.

We (a couple in our mid-30s from Germany) went on an afternoon safari with this operator yesterday and were absolutely thrilled. Our guide was very professional, an excellent driver, and provided us with interesting information throughout the tour. He also spoke very good English and even a little German, which made communication particularly pleasant. We especially appreciated his conscious effort to avoid the large crowds. He told us that there were around 150 tours in total – and yet we were often completely alone in certain areas. When we did encounter other vehicles, they were often traveling in groups. This made the safari truly special for us, as we wanted to experience a wildlife safari, not a people safari. Although we unfortunately didn't see a leopard, our guide really did everything he could to make that experience possible. In the end, however, it didn't matter at all, because the entire tour was so well-rounded, relaxed, and authentic, and we saw, for example, one of the rarer elephants with a tusk and even a herd with babies. ...``` ``` `` `` `` `` `` Another highlight was the end of the tour: we were one of the few cars allowed to watch the sunset from outside the park, while most were taken directly to their hotels – a beautiful and very special moment. Highly recommended!

What an incredible safari with Ish and Janaka Safari. Our hopes were high to see léopards and elephants but what we experienced completely blew our minds and this wall all thanks to the most incredible guide ever. Ish went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible, communicating all the time with other safari guides to spot leopards, delivering a world class breakfast, knowing exactly where elephants would show up and even spotting baby leopards. Additionally to being an incredible guide he’s a passionate about nature, taking pictures of them, respecting them, knowing each and every single of them (leopards). Don’t hesitate just book this safari, 100% worth every rupee !!!
