This experience was very well balanced between relaxation, beauty, and activity. The drive was nice and relaxing yet not too long, but then that was countered by the 350 steps to get to the scenic pagoda. I went to the shrine first and gave my offering and prayer and then afterwards I realized that I had to cleanse myself with the spring water beforehand. The shrine, pagoda, and most definitely Mt. Fuji were all beautiful and unforgettable. Don't forget to bring some cash to get some real Fuji apples, they were huge and so delicious looking, not to mention supporting the local community. The matcha ice cream was so creamy and tasty too. I enjoyed the lunch that was provided and like that we had time afterwards to explore on our own or do whatever we wanted before the next spot. I was able to take some great scenic photos of Mt Fuji that I will cherish while learning about some cultural history as well. ★
