The best way to view the area. Sometimes a bit bumpy, but landing on the river was a real highlight. My first flight with a float plane, an amazing experience.

A unique and relaxing experience, we really enjoyed. You are allowed 20 minutes in the mud bath, then as long as you like in the thermal pools. We hired towels for $5 each and wore our oldest swimwear, which we threw out afterwards, to avoid sulphur smell through our luggage.

We wanted as close to an authentic Māori experience as possible, and were absolutely amazed and touched by how much the Te Pa Tu family demonstrated their pride in their culture. We enjoyed learning and participating in different activities as well as feeling the emotions behind their songs and hakas. The dinner was exceptional and the ending appreciation songs for all countries represented at the tour, took it over the top! A highlight of our NZ trip never to be forgotten!
