I took the Private Wairarapa Wine Delights Tour from Wellington with Tom and it was a fantastic experience. All of the stops were amazing but Poppy's was my absolute favorite. It was great getting to chat with some of the owners to learn more about their wines. The icing on top was the fact that Tom takes photos of you during the experience. As I was traveling solo during my trip it was so nice to have some candid shots along with some additional staged ones to commemorate the experience. I will 100% be scheduling another experience with Tom if I ever get back to Wellington for another trip.★

This was a phenomenal tour. It was like home run after home run. Beautiful location, stellar staff. Shoutout Hayden our guide. If there is a Mount Olympus for outdoor adventures, then Hayden is sitting atop it. Paddle in hand, eyes scanning the horizon like a demigod of the waterways.
From the moment we pushed off, it was clear this wasn’t going to be your average kayaking tour. No. This was a full-blown hero’s journey through the untamed beauty of NZ, led by a guide who doesn’t just know the sea, he commands it.
Hayden wasn’t just knowledgeable, he was a walking, paddling encyclopedia with the soul of a poet and the confidence of a seasoned adventurer. Every cove had a story. Every rock had a name. Every seal, bird, and breeze seemed like they were in on some ancient script, written just for us.
He didn’t just guide us—he orchestrated an experience. There was a moment where the sun hit the water just right, and a pod of dolphins appeared on the horizon and I swear to you, it felt like Hayden summoned them. I don’t know if he’s human or half sea-spirit, but whatever he is, you want him on your tour.
So here’s the truth: if you’re even thinking about kayaking and you get a chance to book do it. Drop everything. Cancel your plans. Forget Disneyland. This is the real magic.
This wasn’t a tour. It was a saga. And Hayden? He’s the legend that made it unforgettable.

Simon was an excellent host for our tour. He took into account the make up of our group and our requests, in particular noting we were all keen to try some local gin as well as wine. We were very lucky with amazing weather! The tour bus was comfy and clean and the venues we visited were so friendly and informative. Lunch venue was absolutely perfect! I had the best time on this tour!! It was so lovely to leave the city and see the beautiful scenery on the way to the coast. There were plenty of stops and so many experiences to take part in.
