Overall, I was quite satisfied with my trip to Hua Hin, especially the hotel, which was excellent. It was a pity we couldn't go swimming in the sea. The seafood was incredibly cheap and affordable. The group meals were mediocre, especially the ones at the Bangkok duty-free shop, which were terrible. I had expected the Bangkok hotel rooms to have views of the Chao Phraya River, but the rooms were low-end and in poor locations, which was disappointing. Since it was a pure sightseeing tour, the two shopping stops felt excessive. I wouldn't buy anything in Thai shopping malls anyway. We happened to encounter the Yellow Shirt protests, so we missed seeing the Vimanmek Mansion and Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall on the fifth day. The tour leader replaced them with two other, which were quite nice. Next time I come to Thailand, I'd prefer to travel independently.★
