Arrived a few minutes before and went straight to our seats. The boat is quite narrow, so only one row on each side, so everyone can see the river and the buildings. The night view is so beautiful and magical - it is all lit up like from a fairy tale.

The cave is very large and requires climbing inside. It is very beautiful, especially the large lotus flower, which is very realistic. It is very cool in the summer and is a good place to escape the heat. It is very close to the ancient city and direct bus access is very convenient.

Came here on June 26, 2014. Shen Congwen is a great writer from Fenghuang Ancient Town. His former residence is located in the center of Fenghuang Ancient Town. It can be found by walking into Zhongying Street on the south side of the "Fenghuang City" archway. The former residence was built by Shen Hongfu, Shen Congwen's grandfather, in the fifth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1866). Shen Congwen was born in this old house and lived there until he left his hometown at the age of 14. After Shen Congwen's death in 1988, the old house began to be open to tourists. Shen Congwen's former residence is a quadrangle building with a through-beam wooden structure. It is a typical style of Xiangxi folk houses in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is divided into two entrances, front and back, with a patio in the middle and wing rooms on both sides. There are 11 rooms in total. Today, there are Shen Congwen's remaining ink, manuscripts, relics and portraits here for viewing.

The Hongqiao Bridge, also known as the "Wind and Rain Tower", lies across the Tuojiang River. It is the central landmark of Fenghuang Ancient Town, integrating scenic spots and tourist shopping. On the walls at both ends of the bridge are engraved couplets written by Huang Yongyu and his brother Huang Yongqian. The bridge has two floors. The first floor is a pedestrian passage, where tourists can travel back and forth between the two sides of the Tuojiang River. The second floor overlooks Fenghuang and is also one of the best viewing spots in the ancient city.

The park was very quiet with not a lot of crowds. My brother and I were able to walk freely around seeing all of the animals. We got especially lucky with the pandas as some were still eating when we arrived around 11. The park was much larger than we initially had thought. We went during a weekday and there wasn’t much food available. Overall great! You probably don’t need to spend more than and hour and a half here though.

I live very close to the place. I came up after breakfast. It is a place overlooking the ancient city of Fenghuang. There are many photo-taking spots and decorations for internet celebrities. There are actually quite a lot of things to see as you go up, such as magic carpets (escalators), suspension bridges, altars, etc. I didn't finish the walk. I took the elderly to have a look at it from a high place. We almost left. If you have time, you can actually go deeper.

Small folk village~ It seems like it took more than 30 minutes to drive from the Tongjang River, but the road is winding and mountainous, so it feels far... They say people actually live there. Is that true? Haha Because it's a tourist attraction, they sold silver ornaments and fabrics that were woven into patterns. There was a small spectacle of the residents reenacting a wedding, and they sold snacks here and there along the way. I went up with a bottle of water, but it felt like I was hiking?
