Ice Palace - Jungfraujoch is hidden in the glacial depths of the Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe in Switzerland, located approx. 20m below the observation deck. In the 1930s, two mountain guides used ice axes and ice saws to hand-carve halls and passageways into the ice of the Jungfrau Glacier. Since then, artists have continued to create within the ice, making it an ever-evolving ice sculpture. Push open the revolving door and follow the stairs bathed in blue light. The rock walls overhead gradually give way to the glacier, and the passageway becomes increasingly crystalline. Ice sculptures appear faintly in the dim, ambient light, and you can also see works themed around the three famous peaks: Jungfrau, Mönch, and Eiger, as well as cute little squirrels hidden within the ice.Fieschertal · 18.4 km from downtown

Aletsch Glacier is located in the high mountain region of the Canton of Valais in the eastern part of the Bernese Alps in south-central Switzerland and is one of the few massive glaciers in the Alps. It is formed by the confluence of several tributary glaciers at Konkordiaplatz, and the meltwater from the end of the glacier tongue flows into the Rhône River. Take a cable car from Fiesch in the Goms Valley via Fiescheralp up the mountain to the Eggishorn viewpoint, which offers a panoramic view of the entire glacier, where the textures of the converging tributary glaciers are clearly visible. Viewed from Bettmerhorn, you are directly facing the middle and lower sections. On the eastern edge lies the milky-blue Märjelensee lake, which is particularly photogenic in summer when filled with meltwater. The slopes beside the glacier tongue are covered with forests of Swiss stone pine. High-altitude panoramic trails connect mountain villages such as Riederalp and Bettmeralp. Among them, Villa Cassel, a century-old house above Riederalp, introduces the glacier and alpine ecology.Fieschertal · 9.9 km from downtown

As a tourist destination in the Alps, this UNESCO World Heritage site offers scenery in every season: in winter, 104 km of ski slopes span three villages, while in summer, the alpine meadows transform into a hiking paradise. The Eggishorn viewpoint is at an altitude of 2,926 m, overlooking the 23 km long glacier winding like a silver dragon between the peaks. The Aletsch Forest Reserve is home to ancient Swiss stone pines, and you can spot marmots and Alpine chamois along the forest trails. Non-skiers can experience snowshoeing across moraine landscapes or join a glaciologist-guided ice cave adventure. Beyond skiing, the resort preserves traditional Valais wooden chalet architecture, and local restaurants offer raclette and beer brewed with glacier water, integrating eco-friendly experiences into every detail.Morel · 10.4 km from Fieschertal

Schilthorn

Schilthorn is located in the Alps south of Interlaken, with an altitude of 2,970 meters. It is surrounded by well-known peaks such as Jungfrau and Eiger. Schilthorn is famous for the thrilling fight scenes in the 007 series "The Queen's Order". In summer, you can experience two different landscapes. If you go to Schilthorn in summer, when you reach the foot of the mountain, you can see green grass, local huts, and free-range cattle and sheep; It's another world, full of snow-covered scenes. Climbing by glass box cable car The main way for tourists to climb the Schilthorn is to take the cable car, but the difference is that this is a large glass box that can accommodate 80 people and moves up the mountain at a fast speed. The process of taking the cable car to the Schilthorn is fascinating, first from Stechelberg, 867 meters above sea level, to Gimmelwald, 1368 meters above sea level, and then to Mürren, Birg, and the process of changing the cable car. You will continue to experience the feeling of a real bird's-eye view. Even through the glass of the cable car, the photos taken are still shocking. The exciting ascent experience is a more thrilling section from Murren at 1638 meters to Birg at 2677 meters. In less than 10 minutes, the altitude is raised by 1 kilometer, and people will constantly exclaim at the beautiful scenery outside the window when ascending. I also continued to experience the feeling of weightlessness. From the Schilthorn Observation Deck, you can see the end of the cable car at the Schilthorn Observation Deck, which is 2970 meters above sea level. This is the place where the 007 movie was filmed. There are countless majestic peaks around the Schilthorn. From afar, you can see the Jungfrau, Eiger and Moshi, which are also among the mountains. 360-degree revolving panorama restaurant There is a revolving restaurant PizGloria on the top of the mountain. When the weather is good, you can dine here. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the peaks. Every time you turn a section, there will be an iron sign with a clear icon to tell you who you are facing at this angle. Which are the peaks and their elevations. The restaurant has special recommended dishes every day, which are worth experiencing. Photo with "Bond" There is also a James Bond figure with a pistol on the viewing platform, and you can take pictures with the "celebrity". If you have enough time, you can also enter the octagonal theater in the observation deck to watch an 18-minute multi-view Schilthorn region scenery film, including highlights from the 007 movie.Lauterbrunnen · 27.8 km from Fieschertal

Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe is one of Switzerland’s most spectacular mountain destinations, offering an unforgettable experience high in the Swiss Alps. Surrounded by magnificent snow-covered peaks, vast glaciers, and breathtaking alpine scenery, the journey to the summit is an adventure itself. The panoramic views from the top are truly mesmerizing, especially on a clear day when the mountains seem to stretch endlessly into the horizon. Walking through the snowy landscape feels like entering a winter wonderland. The impressive Aletsch Glacier adds even more beauty to the experience. Jungfraujoch is a must-visit destination for travelers who love mountains, snow, photography, and extraordinary natural landscapes.

It only takes 45 minutes to get from Grindelwald to Jungfraujoch by express train. You can also enjoy many beautiful views along the way. The Jungfrau Railway was planned in 1893, and it was not until 1912 that the highest railway station in Europe was finally opened. The construction cost a total of 16 million Swiss francs. So it is understandable that the price at the entrance of Jungfraujoch is so expensive.

The Alaich Glacier is actually a landscape that looks like a snowy road. It is not cold on a sunny summer day. The wide-angle lens will be very good when you look at the glacier from the viewing platform. There are many piles of stones for making wishes on the mountain. There are also restaurants, and even in summer, they prepare woolen shawls for customers to keep warm.

I wanted to go to Jungfraujoch, but the weather was bad. It was foggy and hard to see clearly. I took the train and then the cable car. I was a little disappointed. Of course, the scenery should be beautiful when the weather is clear.
