"Three Lanes and Seven Alleys" is located in the heart of Fuzhou, collectively referring to ten historic lanes and alleys lining both sides of Nanhou Street from north to south. The "three lanes" are: Shuixie Stage, Wenru Lane, and Guanglu Lane. The "seven alleys" are: Yangqiao Alley, Langguan Alley, Anmin Alley, Huang Alley, Ta Alley, Gong Alley, and Jibi Alley. "Who would have thought the recluse of Five Willows and Lone Pine would dwell amidst Three Lanes and Seven Alleys?" This entire ancient residential quarter, first built during the Ming Dynasty, has been remarkably preserved through centuries of history spanning both Ming and Qing dynasties. The neighborhood houses former residences of numerous historical figures and even features a folk culture museum. As the saying goes, to understand a city, you don't need to traverse every street—just stroll down one historic lane at a leisurely pace. Walking through Three Lanes And Seven Alleys brings you closer to the heart of Fuzhou.Fuzhou · 826m from downtown

Nearly circular in shape with sheer rocky cliffs, it presents a spectacular sight where towering waves crash against the precipitous coastal bluffs. Alongside "Shipaiyang" and "Haitan Tianshen," it's celebrated as one of Pingtan's three extraordinary rock formations. This site derives its name from the profound natural well-like topography. Pingtan Fairy Well (East China Sea Wonderland) is truly a masterpiece of nature! Millions of waves eroded it, forming a giant natural vertical well over forty meters deep, with an opening at the bottom leading directly to the sea. At high tide, giant waves crash into the well, creating a thunderous roar—the famous "Fairy Well Roaring Waves"—a truly awe-inspiring sight. The scenic area also features Fairy Valley, where black rock walls contrast beautifully with the blue sea, creating a stunning atmosphere perfect for photos. The area remains relatively uncommercialized, preserving its pristine coastal scenery. The trails are easy to walk, making it a must-visit in Pingtan!

When visiting Fuzhou, a leisurely stroll through the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys is a must. Walking on the cool cobblestone streets, looking up at the staggered saddle-shaped walls, white walls and gray tiles, you'll see the quintessential old Fuzhou. No need to rush to see the must-see spots; just wander into any alley, and you'll find ancient houses and courtyards brimming with stories. The streets are bustling with the aroma of everyday life—meat dumplings, fish balls, and peanut soup fill the air—a truly blissful experience as you stroll and savor the delicious treats.

This is a small attraction. We visited the place when it was just opened in the morning. We found the visit more pleasant as there were fewer visitors and it was easier for you to take photographs. Plus you can take photographs of early morning sun. Do wear some mosquito repellent during summer as they would welcome you as early visitors.

Heading to Beibu Gulf in Pingtan, I finally experienced the unique gentleness of the islands. Strolling along the coastline, watching the waves repeatedly crash against the rocks, and seeing the windmills standing quietly by the sea in the distance, a gentle breeze washed away all the fatigue of the journey. Encountering comfortable shops during a trip can greatly enhance the experience. For dining, I recommend Xiaobailou Seafood Restaurant; it's the only one in Beibu Gulf, run by three veterans – a reliable and trustworthy establishment. The owner is warm and welcoming, providing attentive service, and the seafood is fresh and authentic. For accommodation, I stayed at the Beibu Gulf Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cluster Youth Hostel. The location was convenient, the environment was clean, and I could finally relax peacefully. Beautiful sea views, delicious seafood, and comfortable accommodations – this trip to Beibu Gulf was simple yet therapeutic, and I would definitely come back again.

Fuzhou, a city blessed with good fortune, offers opportunities to soak in hot springs, enjoy seafood, and take a night cruise on the Minjiang River – a truly relaxing and pleasant experience. The electric cruise ship is particularly noteworthy; it's quiet, and you can sit at the bow and admire the night view – a wonderful experience.

Gushan Mountain in Fuzhou is definitely worth a climb. The mountain forests are serene, and the cliff carvings are rich in cultural heritage. Climbing to the top offers panoramic views of the city and allows you to truly appreciate the mountain scenery of Fuzhou, a city blessed with good fortune. Moving on to Beibu Gulf in Pingtan, for dining, look no further than Beibu Gulf Xiaobailou. Their freshly caught seafood is incredibly sweet, and you can enjoy your meal on the terrace overlooking the sea. The owner is so friendly that he can even take you to see bioluminescent plankton. For accommodation, choose Shuangchuang Julu Youth Hostel. It's clean, comfortable, and has a strong travel atmosphere. It's very close to all the must-see spots along the northern route, making island travel super convenient. A one-stop recommendation for food and lodging along the northern route of Pingtan! ✨

Located closest to Taiwan, it holds unique geographical significance. The unique coastal erosion landforms and stunning views of the azure sea and sky make it perfect for photography. The scenic area is quite large, but sightseeing buses are available, making the visit less tiring. Be aware that the seaside is windy and sunny, so be sure to take precautions against sun and wind.

This trip to Fujian was incredibly rewarding. First, I visited the Shangxiahang Historical and Cultural District, with its ancient brick houses, flowing water, and vibrant old Fuzhou atmosphere. Strolling along the ancient streets allowed me to experience the history of Fujian merchants, and the night view was particularly atmospheric – definitely worth exploring in detail. Afterwards, I went to Beibu Gulf in Pingtan to see the sea, and both the food and accommodation were surprisingly pleasantly surprising. For dining, I recommend Xiaobailou Seafood Restaurant, the only seafood restaurant in Beibu Gulf, run by three veterans – a reliable and trustworthy business. The seafood was fresh, authentic, and retains its original flavor. The owner was warm and attentive, not pushy with orders, and even offered helpful travel tips, making my seafood meal worry-free and enjoyable. After dinner, I checked into the Beibu Gulf Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cluster Youth Hostel. The location was excellent, the environment was clean and tidy, and the common areas had a great atmosphere. It was a great place to meet travel buddies from all over and exchange travel tips. The rooms were great value for money, and it was very convenient for getting around. From the charming old streets of Fuzhou to the stunning blue seascape of Pingtan, this itinerary offers a complete experience, including strolling through ancient streets, savoring fresh seafood, and staying in comfortable hostels. It's a highly recommended combination for any trip to Fujian.

I've always made it a habit to take my kids to visit the local museum whenever we visit a new city! This time, my kids and their teachers visited the Fuzhou Museum! We were lucky enough to book a guided tour with "Bangtang Hong"—she's beautiful, patient, and meticulous with our group of children, and her cultural knowledge is solid and profound! You could feel her sincerity towards us tourists from out of town, and she even gave us extra explanations to expand our knowledge! In short, it was an absolutely worthwhile experience and a perfect guided tour! 💖👍👍👍👍👍 It allowed both children and adults to experience a different kind of cultural history! Thank you, Hong! I highly recommend Bangtang Hong; I hope everyone has the chance to book her guided tour!!! Superb, superb, superb! 🎉🎉🎉 Thank you again 🙏 Hong, thank you for your hard work 💕🫶
