Springbrook National Park

5.1
4.2/5
91 reviews
Springbrook National Park is located in the mountain rainforests of the Gold Coast hinterland. The plateau, shaped by ancient volcanic activity, has been deeply carved by streams into layers of cliffs and canyons, creating a lush, green landscape. Most waterfalls and lookouts are accessible via short trails. The park consists of several areas, with the Springbrook Plateau and Natural Bridge being the most popular. Visitors can enjoy waterfalls and cliffs during the day, and see the starlike glowworms in the caves at night—each offering its own unique experience. Natural Bridge, Springbrook National Park, is the signature attraction here: years of erosion by stream water have hollowed out the mountain, and now the stream pours through a circular hole in the cave ceiling, weaving a curtain of water inside. A natural stone bridge remains where the cave roof collapsed. You can see the waterfall passing through the cave by following the approximately 1 km loop trail. After dark, the cave ceiling lights up with patches of blue-green glow—these are the bioluminescent larvae commonly known as glowworms. They are actually the larvae of a type of fungus gnat, and their cold tail light is used to lure prey. When gathered in large numbers, they look like a starry sky hanging overhead. They glow every night throughout the year, though their light is dimmer during the dry winter and spring seasons and exceptionally bright during the hot, humid, and rainy seasons. On humid summer nights, you might occasionally spot glowing mushrooms along the trail, and sometimes even fireflies. Please turn off flashlights and camera flashes when viewing, as direct bright light will cause the colony to "turn off" instantly. Please stay on the trail, and do not enter the water in the cave area. After walking out of the cave, don't forget to look up; the stars in the mountain night sky are equally moving. The plateau area is home to most of the lookouts and waterfalls: the Canyon Lookout is just a few steps from the road, offering a view of Twin Falls and Rainbow Falls as they tumble over the cliff edge into the deep valley. The ambitiously named Best of All Lookout requires a walk through a forest of ancient Antarctic beech trees that are thousands of years old; on a clear day, you can see Mount Warning in New South Wales in the distance. Purling Brook Falls, with a drop of nearly 100 m, is the park's iconic waterfall. The loop trail allows you to descend to the valley floor, where you can stand on a suspension bridge and look up at the entire water curtain, which is especially spectacular when the water volume is high after rain. The Twin Falls circuit allows you to walk directly behind the waterfall.Springbrook · 358m from downtown

Cape Danger is a scenic spot in Australia, located on the southern tip of the Gold Coast, on the border between Queensland and New South Wales. When Captain Cook landed on the Australian mainland for the second time, in order to avoid the reef, the captain ordered a sharp turn of nearly 90 degrees to avoid the sinking of the ship, hence the name of Dangerous Point. There are Cook's Monument and Lighthouse on Cape Dangerous, where there are flocks of flying seabirds, sitting on the cliff overlooking the endless coastline and layers of white waves, facing the gentle sea breeze, very comfortable and comfortable.Coolangatta · 1.7 km from downtown

This is a must-visit in the Gold Coast area of Brisbane. My favorite attractions are: Twin Falls, Rainbow Falls, Qinquan Falls, Natural Bridge. These places are very beautiful during the day, but they are a million times more beautiful at night. There are many fireflies on the forest road and in the cave... Just think, in New Zealand, you have to spend 50 New Zealand dollars to see the fireflies in the cave, but here it is free!!! An absolutely amazing place!!!

Our last stop on the Gold Coast was Burleigh Heads National Park, there are several walks on this small headland that were manageable even for my older partner. After parking at the free car park at the end of Goodwin Terrace we hit the road. We walked up the hill and up a short but steep flight of stairs to a sealed sloping road with three lookouts along the way. We walked slowly as it took my partner 15 minutes to reach Tumgum Hill. There were three or four benches along the way and large rocks to sit on. With more time it would have been pleasant to walk to the beach. Parking is charged around Burleigh Heads and is restricted and charged except for the free car park near the entrance to the NP. This is a very popular destination.

Skydiving on the Gold Coast is definitely the most worthwhile extreme activity here. There will be professional coaches and photographers accompanying you to skydive, which is quite safe. When you jump out of the cabin of the plane, you lose gravity and fly in the air like a bird. The feeling is really wonderful, and the beautiful scenery in front of you is really a very heroic feeling.

The terrain of this bay is indeed very steep, with many large reefs extending from the coast. It must have been a dangerous place in the past, but the scenery we see here today is also very magnificent.

When I took my children to Gold Coast for vacation, the Aquaduck activity became their favorite. From the moment they saw the amphibious bus, they were extremely excited. After getting on the bus, they kept staring out the window, afraid of missing any wonderful moments, and kept asking questions. When they got to the sea, they were even more excited. The tour guide and driver were very patient. The sea captain experience activity became the climax, making them have a lot of fun. This activity not only made the children have fun, but also broadened their horizons. It was a very meaningful parent-child travel activity.
