Kurayoshi is a beautiful city that still retains its townscape of white-walled warehouses and red-tiled roofs. In April 2018, Japan's oldest existing circular school building was transformed into Japan's newest model museum. The exhibition floor displays 2,000 models of dinosaurs, animals, and popular anime characters each month. The models are carefully crafted with amazing technology.Kurayoshi · 8.5 km from Hokuei

Conan fans' favorite! Hokuei-cho Conan Town - Like many small villages in Japan, it is sparsely populated and has no tall buildings. It is conceivable that if there were no Gosho Aoyama and his Conan, this would be just an ordinary, quiet seaside town. It is precisely because of the enduring comic Detective Conan that this town has been injected with a steady stream of popularity and vitality. [Smart]

Another name for this place is Conan's House, which is actually just a few shops dressed up like in the cartoon. The Rice Flower Shopping Street is basically a must-see attraction after visiting the museum. It mainly sells various souvenirs and special snacks. The ice cream sold here is said to be made from Daisen milk, and the business is particularly good. Because it was not a weekend when I came, and it was late, there were basically no tourists. I would like to emphasize that the closing time here is 6 o'clock. People in the countryside get off work early. Don't wait until the Conan Museum closes before coming here, otherwise it will be a tragedy if there is only one store open when you come here like I did.

There are rows of old-fashioned white-walled buildings, and among them are cafes and guest houses, and the atmosphere is great.

This is the only museum in Japan themed around pears. Not only does it display materials related to pears, but it also allows visitors to actually observe pear cultivation and even experience harvesting. The highlight of the Nashikkokan is, without a doubt, the opportunity to sample pears all year round, whatever the season. The pears are apparently preserved using special methods, but are just as delicious as those in season. This museum is wheelchair accessible.

In the happiest place in the world (unfortunately, I got caught in the rain). The advantage of rainy days is that many outdoor attractions have no queues. I even bought a travel insurance policy specifically for entering the Mario area, but it was useless because of the rain. The disadvantage of rainy days is that I got soaked the whole time (screaming loudly!). My pants were completely wet sitting on the chairs of the outdoor attractions, and I bought an expensive raincoat (though it was pretty good quality). Some attractions even stopped operating temporarily when the rain was heavy. Next time, I'll choose a sunny day and definitely see the sunset at Mario.
