Orange beach hurghada is located on the Giftun Islands. The water here is clear and shallow, making it friendly for first-time snorkelers, as you can see coral and schools of tropical fish even in the shallow waters near the shore. The beach is equipped with wooden sunshades, lounge chairs, and bean bag chairs, where you can sunbathe, take photos, and enjoy the expansive sea views. During the tour, you can go snorkeling in the Red Sea coral reef area, where you may see colorfulcoral gardensand tropical fish underwater, and if you are lucky, you might even encounter dolphins and sea turtles. After arriving at the beach, you will have free time to swim or relax on the sand. Water sports such as banana boat rides and paddleboarding are also available around the beach.Hurghada · 5.8 km from downtown

Red Sea

Red Sea is located between northeastern Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, and the Egyptian coastal city of Hurghada is the gateway to experiencing the scenery of this sea area. The water here is a deep blue-green with high transparency. Looking down from a boat, the underwater coral reefs are clearly visible. The sprawling coastline, fine soft sand, and year-round abundant sunshine make this small coastal city a well-known resort destination along the Red Sea, where days spent reading, relaxing, and sunbathing are quite pleasant. However, the real highlight of this sea area is underwater. The coral reefs are colorful, with tropical fish like clownfish and stingrays swimming among the rocks, and if you are lucky, you might even encounter wild dolphins. You can take a boat out to Giftun Island and Orange Bay: Giftun Island is a protected marine park where white sandy beaches coexist with surrounding coral reefs, and the waters around Orange Bay are shallow and clear, making it a favorite among snorkeling enthusiasts. Visitors who can swim can experience snorkeling or even scuba diving, while those who cannot swim can ride a semi-submarine to enjoy the underwater world through large portholes. Most boat itineraries depart from the Hurghada marina and usually include a few snorkeling stops. A quick reminder: encountering dolphins depends on luck, so don't force it. The Red Sea is located on the edge of the desert with intense sunlight, so be sure to apply sunscreen before heading out and wear a life jacket when entering the water for a safer experience.Hurghada · >100 km from downtown
Desert Adventure Safari
No. 11 of Night Attractions in Egypt

Desert Adventure Safari

5.9
4.1/5
35 reviews
Desert Adventure Safari is a popular desert experience in Hurghada, with the destination being the Eastern Desert of Egypt, located west of the city and on the eastern edge of the Sahara Desert. The itinerary usually begins with a 4x4 off-road vehicle or an ATV ride. The convoy traverses rolling sand dunes, with the kicking up of sand and the roar of engines providing a thrilling experience. Along the way, there will be a stop at a high vantage point where you can overlook the Hurghada city area and the Red Sea coastline, seeing a clear boundary between the greenery, the city, and the desert. After venturing deep into the desert, the itinerary continues to a Bedouin village camp. The residents here have been nomadic for generations. You can learn from your guide how they find water and navigate in the desert, drink a cup of piping hot Bedouin black tea, taste a freshly baked traditional flatbread, and then ride a camel across the dunes, switching from high-speed excitement to a slow, swaying pace. The evening is the highlight of the itinerary: as the sun sets over the edge of the sand sea, the entire desert is dyed golden red, a scene that leaves a deep impression on many travelers. After nightfall, far from city lights, the desert starry sky is exceptionally clear. Itineraries departing in the evening usually include a desert barbecue dinner and folk song and dance performances, and some even provide telescopes for stargazing. Choosing an evening session makes it easier to see both the sunset and the starry sky in one trip. Experience tip: ATV rides are noticeably bumpy, so travelers with back discomfort are better suited for off-road vehicles. A headscarf and sunglasses are practical gear for protection against sand, and since the desert cools down quickly after sunset, remember to bring a jacket.Hurghada · 14.2 km from downtown
Eastern Desert

Eastern Desert

10 reviews
Eastern Desert is a vast desert region stretching between the Nile Valley and the Red Sea in Egypt, formerly known as the "Arabian Desert," covering an area of approx. 220,000 km². Unlike the vast sand seas of Egypt's Western Desert, this area is primarily a mountainous desert: the Red Sea Mountains run parallel to the coastline, with many peaks exceeding 1,500 m in elevation, and 2,000 m-class peaks concentrated in the south; ochre-red mountains, gravelly desert, and dry riverbeds crisscross each other, creating a rugged and open landscape. This desert is not lacking in traces of human activity. The Wadi Hammamat area contains rock carvings dating from the Pharaonic era to the Roman period; the Romans once ventured deep into the hinterland to mine granite and purple porphyry, and at the Mons Claudianus quarry, one can still see giant stone columns that were never transported away. Nomadic Bedouins still graze and camp here, and itineraries that venture deep into the hinterland usually include a stop at a Bedouin village to drink a cup of piping hot black tea and see the daily life in the desert. Departing from Hurghada on the Red Sea coast, half-day to full-day desert itineraries are common: ride an ATV or take an off-road vehicle to bump and bash through the sandy and rocky terrain, ride a camel slowly at sunset to watch the sun go down, and after nightfall, far from city lights, the starry sky overhead is exceptionally clear. The desert has a large temperature difference between day and night; protect yourself from the sun and bring plenty of water during the day, and remember to add a jacket after sunset; in spring, there are occasional hot, dusty winds from the south, so it's worth checking the weather before you go. If you have enough time, hiking along dry riverbeds or arranging a multi-day off-road trip deep into the mountains will allow you to see an Egypt that is completely different from the Red Sea coast.Hurghada · >100 km from downtown

Giftun Islands

5.3
4.7/5
22 reviews
Giftun Islandsare located in the Red Sea in Egypt, across the water from Hurghada. They mainly consist of Big Giftun Island, Small Giftun Island, and several surrounding reefs. It takes about 1 hour to reach them by boat from the Hurghada marina. The entire archipelago is designated as a marine protected area. There are no permanent residents on the islands, and visitors are not allowed to stay overnight. Therefore, tours are mostly conducted as day trips, departing by boat in the early morning and returning in the evening. Fine white sandy beaches and coral reefs right next to the shore are the core highlights of this archipelago: over 200 species of coral and thousands of fish species make their home here. When snorkeling, you can see staghorn coral and table coral stretching out in patches. Butterflyfish and parrotfish swim by in schools, and if you are lucky, you might encounter sea turtles and moray eels. During the boat trip, you also have a chance to see wild dolphins appearing near the boat. Visitors who cannot swim or do not want to go into the water can take a glass-bottom boat to view the coral through the bottom of the boat, or simply lie on the beach to sunbathe. The beaches of the archipelago each have their own characteristics. Among them, Orange Bay is popular for photo opportunities, thanks to the hammocks set up in the shallows and the swings on the water. There are also lagoon areas with shallow, calm water that are suitable for children to play in. For diving enthusiasts, there are multiple dive sites distributed around the archipelago. Local dive centers in Hurghada provide equipment rental and instructor guidance year-round and can arrange boat diving itineraries. As it is a protected area, please follow the rules when visiting the islands; do not touch or step on the coral. The Red Sea has intense sunlight, so it is recommended to prepare high-SPF sunscreen, sun hats, and plenty of drinking water in advance. If you want to avoid the crowds, you can choose to travel on days other than local weekends and holidays.Hurghada · 10.5 km from downtown

Hurghada life tours is a local tour operator based in the Red Sea resort city of Hurghada, Egypt, specializing in Red Sea boat trips and desert experience tours. Leveraging its coastal location, most of its marine activities revolve around the Red Sea coral reefs. These include snorkeling itineraries by boat to areas where dolphins are frequently spotted, sightseeing routes that allow you to view coral and fish through glass-bottom boats, and diving experiences for beginners, which allow novices to explore the underwater world under the guidance of an instructor. Some itineraries even combine boat trips and desert adventures into a single day, allowing you to explore the seabed first and then head into the Eastern Desert behind Hurghada, experiencing a stark contrast between land and sea in one day. Unlike the standardized products of large travel groups, this operator focuses on small local groups with flexible itinerary combinations, allowing activities and their order to be adjusted based on traveler requests. Services typically include round-trip hotel transfers, accompanying guides, and activity bookings, saving you the trouble of coordinating transportation and equipment yourself, making it suitable for travelers who want to experience both the Red Sea and the desert in one trip.Hurghada · 5.4 km from downtown

17 reviews
El Gouna is a purpose-built resort town on Egypt's Red Sea coast, located north of Hurghada. The entire town is spread across islands and lagoons connected by bridges, with turquoise waterways winding through. White walls, arcades, and colorful Nubian-style buildings line the water, and with boats and stone bridges everywhere, it is often called the "Venice of the Red Sea" by tourists. Water-based activities are the focus here: kitesurfing is the town's signature activity. Mangroovy Beach offers steady sea breezes and calm lagoon waters, where enthusiasts from beginner to advanced levels can find suitable areas. You can take a boat out to visit the "Dolphin House" reef, famous for its dolphins, where you have the chance to swim with pods of bottlenose dolphins, while the nearby Abu Nuhas shipwreck cluster is a classic Red Sea wreck diving spot. If you don't want to learn to surf, you can also take a lagoon cruise through the waterways or spend half a day at the cable wake park. The land-based side is also worth exploring at a leisurely pace: Abu Tig Marina is lined with rows of yachts, and the cafes and restaurants along the water are perfect for watching the sunset. The area around Tamr Henna Square in the town center is filled with markets and small shops, making it the main place for dining and strolling. Most tourists arrange their itinerary for half a day on the water and half a day on land, ending the evening with a walk along the canal. The pace is relaxed, making it perfect for a laid-back vacation.Egypt · El Gouna

"Orange Beach in Hurghada" usually refers to Orange Bay, a popular island off the Red Sea coast of Egypt. Located about 11 kilometers from Hurghada, it is often called "Egypt's Maldives." The most common way to get to Orange Bay is by taking a day cruise departing from Hurghada.

Bringing children to the science museum is a great experience. All interactive exhibits are open and there are no extra charges. The volunteer guides are incredibly patient with children, even squatting down to explain the principles behind the exhibits. Many exhibits allow children to operate them themselves, and they can learn a lot of scientific knowledge in just one afternoon. The museum has comfortable air conditioning and plenty of rest areas where children can sit when they get tired. It's cheaper than amusement parks and offers educational value, making it far better value than those trendy, Instagram-worthy amusement parks that are only for taking photos.

Over the years, I have been eating and drinking everywhere, from the Fairmont series in Kenya to the invincible giant resort in Mauritius, and then to various six-, seven- and eight-star hotels in Dubai. My requirements for hotels in all aspects have probably become higher and higher without realizing it. In Hurghada, Desert Rose seems to be ranked among the top three in terms of hotel location, Red Sea area, various hardware equipment, comprehensive evaluation, etc. In fact, a score slightly above the average may be more in line with its overall performance. It is undeniable that the Red Sea is so beautiful that you only need to offer the entire private sea view of the hotel to attract fans immediately, enough to ignore the various other minor problems of the hotel~ Is this the legendary #God's gift#

The eastern desert of the Red Sea and the Sinai Peninsula is a very desolate place, and the surface here looks very much like the landscape on Mars. Therefore, many science fiction movies choose to shoot here. You may as well visit it and feel the feeling of an alien planet.
