Mehrangarh Fort
Mehrangarh Fort, still managed by the Maharaja of Jodhpur, is a very charming place. A must-go place in Jodhpur. On this 125-meter-high mountain, the height of this ancient fortress gradually becomes apparent as you approach. It's an obsessive, daunting architectural feat. Its battlements are 6-36 meters high. Since the building materials are carved out of the rock at the foot of the castle, the whole building is integrated with its foundation. The maharajas of Jodhpur built many parts for it over the centuries. First of all, it consists of many annexes, such as the Pearl Palace (MotiMahal), the Glass Palace (SheeshMahal), and the Treasure Pavilion (DaulatKhana).
