Shibuya is a commercial and entertainment district near JR Shibuya station, standing alongside Shinjuku and Ikebukuro as one of Tokyo's three major sub-centers and one of the city's bustling neighborhoods. Every time the traffic light turns green, the massive crosswalk in front of JR Shibuya station is engulfed by waves of pedestrians, while giant billboards and digital screens around reflect the energy of this busy metropolis. Shibuya is the birthplace of youth culture. In this 24-hour sleepless district, various trendy fashion shops, restaurants, bars, and entertainment centers gather, and street band performances can often be seen. Major department stores are also vibrant with the presence of young people. In Shibuya, even the outfits of passersby are stylish enough, with many fashion magazines like "ViVi" and "Mina" sourcing their street snaps from here. Thanks to the prevalence of trend culture, the area is filled with fashionable men and women, and avant-garde or even eccentric outfits are not uncommon. Shopping route recommendations When shopping in Shibuya, it's recommended to start from the bustling Shibuya crossing, pass through the busy pedestrian zone Center Street and Spain Slope, and take a break at the spacious Yoyogi Park when tired. This route allows you to experience Shibuya's typical youthful atmosphere. Statue of Hachiko When you exit from the Hachiko exit of Shibuya station, you will see the statue of Hachiko. The story of Hachiko, who kept waiting for his deceased owner in front of JR Shibuya station, is well-known throughout Japan. Today, the area in front of this statue is one of Tokyo's popular meeting spots. Why not take a photo with Hachiko? Shibuya 109 Shibuya crossing is surrounded by department stores and is a highly photographed location. Across the street, Shibuya 109 houses over 120 boutique shops, offering trendy fashion that is highly representative and popular among young women, with sales staff even adopting cute and playful attitudes. Shibuya 109 also has a dedicated men's section, which is equally popular. Shibuya center street Shibuya center street pedestrian area is dotted with shops, restaurants and bars, creating a somewhat dazzling scene. It remains lively until midnight, offering a glimpse into the lives of Japanese youth. Spanish ramp A 100-m-long slope connects Shibuya Center Street to Parco department store, named for its resemblance to Spanish streets. Though inconspicuous, the Spanish slope exudes a trendy vibe with its unique shops on both sides. Here you'll find bakeries and restaurants using natural ingredients, as well as delicious coffee and wine that attract many foreign visitors. Walking up the steps through this shortcut leads to Parco, another clothing department store. Yoyogi park Continue north and you'll reach Yoyogi Park. The beautiful flowers and fountains in the park create an urban oasis for birds, where you can take a break and organize your finds from the journey. Shibuya's fashion culture in Shibuya, besides shopping, you can also experience the trendy youth culture. At Tokyo Wonder Site in front of Parco department store, you can often see works by young Japanese artists.Tokyo · 14.6 km from Kawasaki City

Tokyo Tower

Tokyo Tower, also known as the Tokyo Iron Tower, is a popular sightseeing spot in Tokyo. It is a radio tower located in Shiba Park, Tokyo, Japan. The red-and-white latticed tower was modeled on the Eiffel Tower in Paris and stands 333 meters tall. Since its completion in 1958, it has remained one of Tokyo's city landmarks, and its image and name have frequently appeared in various works of art. In recent years, as the public's expectations for scenery have risen, the tower is no longer subject to color restrictions, but its original paintwork is so distinctive that it has been kept as it is. The lighting was designed and supervised by the world-renowned lighting designer Motoko Ishii, and the lights are on from sunset to midnight. The color of the lights changes with the seasons: white in summer, and orange in spring, autumn, and winter. Tokyo Tower offers a rich array of sightseeing services. In addition to its bright, transparent observation platforms, it also has leisure and entertainment facilities such as a museum, restaurants, and shops, making a stroll here a thoroughly pleasant choice. Around Tokyo Tower, specks of light sparkle like diamonds. This lighting system can change the color of the lights into as many as seven colors, and each color carries a message. The main observation decks inside the tower are the Grand Observation Deck and the Special Observation Deck, where, on a clear day, you may also catch a glimpse of the beautiful scenery of Mount Fuji. △[Grand Observation Deck] Located at a height of 150 meters, it is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows on all sides. △The Grand Observation Deck also features several "Skywalk Windows" with glass floors, offering a direct view down to the ground and providing a thrilling experience. △The Special Observation Deck is a viewing area open only to visitors with advance reservations. It boasts a futuristic design with dazzling mirrored installations throughout. The tour is buided commentary by a professional guide whose warm and friendly service and detailed buided commentary will give you a comprehensive understanding of Tokyo Tower's past and future.Tokyo · 14.7 km from Kawasaki City

TeamLab Planets TOKYO

TeamLab Planets TOKYO is an immersive digital art attraction created by art collective teamLab where visitors "step into water." Here, you take off your shoes, roll up your pants, and walk barefoot through water, strolling among flowers and light. The artworks are generated in real-time by algorithms and continuously transform in response to your movements and those around you, subtly blurring the boundaries between people, artworks, and others. This venue once set the Guinness World Record for annual attendance by a single art group's attraction and has twice been awarded "Asia's leading tourist attraction" at the World Travel Awards. Water-themed spaces are the signature here. "The infinite water surface depicted by dancing koi and people" allows you to step into water approx. knee-deep, where countless koi swim across the endlessly extending surface, transforming into scattered flowers upon contact and blooming flora that changes with the seasons. In the "Boundless crystal universe," strings of light sculptures stretch infinitely in all directions, letting you use your phone to cast stars into the space and personally shape this sea of stars. The garden area's "Floating garden" fills the entire space with soil-free orchids growing in midair, where flowers rise as you walk and their fragrance subtly shifts with the time of day. The "Sports forest" zone transforms the art museum into a three-dimensional playground: leap on glowing bouncing balls, climb colorful poles suspended in midair, step on balance stones that change with your movements, and explore the world with your body. The "Capture and collect forest" lets you use a mobile app to capture various extinct animals and compile your own illustrated guide. The "Co-create! Future garden" invites everyone to paint together, with finished airplanes and butterflies flying into the world in 3D—especially great for family-friendly fun. Experience tips: Barefoot is required in water and garden areas. We recommend wearing pants or shorts with roll-up hems for convenience. Some areas have mirrored floors where pants are more practical than skirts. For 3D exploration areas like the sports forest, wear shoes suitable for activity. △Carp swim across the boundless water surface. When they collide with people, they scatter and flee into the flowers. △A series of light sculptures extend infinitely. △In this space, a world full of life is unfolding, with flowers blooming all year round, constantly changing and evolving over time.Tokyo · 15.3 km from Kawasaki City

Roppongi Hills is located in Roppongi, Tokyo, and is a representative large-scale urban complex in Japan, opened in 2003. The entire project centers around Mori Tower, integrating office, commercial, cultural, and residential functions, with approx. half of the area being open spaces such as gardens and plazas, blending modern urban life with recreational spaces within the same area. The upper floors of Mori Tower house the Mori Art Museum and an observation deck. The Mori Art Museum focuses on contemporary art and hosts various themed exhibitions throughout the year; the observation deck offers panoramic views of Tokyo and is a popular spot for overlooking the city skyline. The Mori Garden is located right next to Mori Tower and is a Japanese-style garden that retains a large pond and traditional landscaping elements. Its predecessor can be traced back to the site of the Mori clan residence from the Edo period. The garden forms a striking contrast with the surrounding modern high-rise buildings and is a suitable place for a stroll and relaxation. Keyakizaka-dori is a well-known commercial street in the new city area, lined with cafes and boutique shops. Its winter light decorations make it one of Tokyo's popular spots for viewing illuminations. The headquarters building of TV Asahi is also located here, with a publicly accessible exhibition space on the first floor showcasing content related to the station's programs. The new city area also features cinemas and numerous dining and shopping options. From Roppongi subway station, visitors can directly access the commercial zone through a glass atrium, ensuring convenient connectivity.Tokyo · 14.6 km from Kawasaki City

DisneySea was honestly so beautiful and magical 🥹💙 I found myself just stopping to admire the scenery because every corner was so pretty! The whole place has such a special atmosphere, and even just walking around and taking everything in was an experience in itself. So glad I got to visit — definitely worth it and an experience I’ll remember for a long time! ✨🌊

Went there to see the night view and The Apothecary Diaries exhibition. The overall experience was great, I list how the dancing scene with stars in the sky blends in with the local city view seamlessly. Only thing is the area is pretty complex in terms of finding the right place to go, but for locals it should be a big deal. The overall price is pretty high, but I enjoy the view and exhibition.

I'd heard it was crowded before, thinking it wouldn't be too bad, but I went on a Wednesday, and it was incredibly packed! The big rides had queues of 30 minutes to an hour, almost as long as Disneyland. The rides themselves were quite fun, but unfortunately, the instant noodle rafting was under maintenance that day. From the moment the park opened in the morning to taking the cable car and then entering the park, there were queues everywhere – it was exhausting. If you want to come, choose a different time of year, like outside of summer, as there are just too many students.

It's my 1st time paying for a view, and I never tried the other fee charging viewpoints that exist around Tokyo. My comparison would thus be with the several free points that also exist in Tokyo: I would say the Tokyo City view is worth it first because of its location: Roppongi. Convenient to access, and you are right in front of the Tokyo tower. The space also feels very high end, with ambiance music, spacious rooms. And it's open at night time, when most free viewpoints are closed. To maximise the experience, go when you are interested in the exhibit happening in the same venue.
