The gate tower and the city wall look quite impressive from the outside, but it's useless. You can finish the tour in a few minutes. There are mostly food and some goods inside. There is a theater at the innermost part, which should be used for opera performances at night. There is really nothing to see. If you live nearby, you can just walk around and kill time, but forget it if you make a special trip there.

I came here to play for a few days during the National Day holiday. I ate and stayed in this Maodegong Drum City. This drum city is very big, and there is a street full of food. The night view is very beautiful at night. It looks a bit like an ancient city tower. The tea restaurant in Figure 1 has good quality and low price. My son likes the food here very much. My wife and I prefer to eat at the Hetang Yueshe in Figure 3. The taste is very suitable for our family.

This is definitely a hidden gem of a scenic spot, perfect for taking your time to explore at a leisurely pace, even a full day. It's also great for families. You can buy an annual pass, and surprisingly, the price is the same as a single-entry pass. If the museum's design were a little more refined, the experience would be even better.

There are many different opinions about the origin of the word "Leizhou". However, it was first used as the place name during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty when Chen Wenyu, a Leizhou native, served as the governor of the local area (before the name was changed to Haikang County). Chen Wenyu, who was a wise official, sympathetic to the people, and admired by people of all ethnic groups in the area, was therefore revered as "Leizu" by later generations. The Leizu Temple built to commemorate this good official - and the "Leizhou Drum Change" that was often played here and was called the first of the "Four Wonders in the World" by Feng Menglong in the Ming Dynasty - have also become the most representative cultural symbols of "Leizhou Culture" and are a must-see when visiting Leizhou. There is a hot spring next to the hotel. It is not a big place with landscaping and not many people. At 6 pm, many pools were not filled with water. The swimming pool was cold water, and the hot spring pool had a water temperature of 38 to 40 degrees. There was no high-temperature pool, and the spring source was not seen.

Sanyuan Pagoda is located in Leizhou City. Sanyuan Pagoda was originally a stone pagoda of Kaiyuan Temple in the Tang Dynasty. It was named Wenbi Pagoda because it resembled a writing brush. The pagoda was destroyed in the Yuan Dynasty. It was rebuilt in the 43rd year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty. Three snake eggs were found when the ground was broken, which was considered to be a sign of "Sanyuan and his brother", so it was named "Sanyuan Qixiu Pagoda". Sanyuan Pagoda Park is free to visit and has free parking. There is a temple in the park to commemorate Chen Shu and Chen Changqi, two upright officials in the Qing Dynasty. Sanyuan Pagoda is now closed for safety reasons.

The weather and scenery in Leizhou are quite good. There is a salty smell of sea water in the air. The park is not big, but the layout is quite good and it doesn’t look messy. It is open to the public for free, so it is worth a visit.

The seawater was very clear and transparent, but there were jellyfish in it. You can take a boat to the island, or walk or take an electric cart. We walked first and then took an electric cart back.

Today's experience was great. Although the weather was quite hot, the activities were all very exciting, especially the "Take It All" activity. Lifeguard Jiang Zhaoyang was very helpful and even offered to get an ice pack when I got injured. Coach Chen, who was snorkeling in the shark pool, was particularly helpful and provided professional snorkeling instruction. Although I only played for two and a half hours, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely come back next time.
