It is one of the best-preserved Renaissance historical districts in Europe and an important cultural heritage area of Lyon. It retains a large number of medieval and Renaissance buildings, and the street layout, building facades, and historical alleyways together showcase the city's long history of development. The streets within the district are mostly narrow and winding, lined with soft-colored stone buildings, arches, traditional shops, and small squares. Many buildings feature exquisite windows, inner courtyards, and decorative facades, and some interiors still retain distinctive spiral staircases and corridors.Lyon · 604m from downtown

Place Bellecour in the center of Lyon, once known as Place Royale. Unlike the general central square, its ground is entirely paved with laterite, which does not make it very beautiful, but it leaves a deep impression. The red tone of the square is very harmonious with the red roofs of the old Lyon buildings. Interestingly, the square was also an important stage for the Lyon textile workers' riots in the mid-19th century. There is a tall equestrian statue of Louis XIV on the square, which is the work of Lumont, a sculptor born in Lyon. The square is surrounded by buildings built in the early 19th century, as well as flower shops, cafes and restaurants. It is a very good place for citizens to rest.Lyon · 751m from downtown

I still recommend everyone to go, after all, it is one of the few large squares in Lyon. It is very spacious, and there are many restaurants around. Many citizens come back to the square to walk at night. The Ferris wheel on the main square is amazing! My boyfriend and I came at night and rode the Ferris wheel together. The student ticket is 9 euros per person. You can overlook the night view of Lyon. It will rotate about 5 times, and it will stay at the highest point for a short time for people to take pictures on the last circle. It is really beautiful and romantic to see the night view from the Ferris wheel.

Taking the kids to the Natural History Museum was a wonderful experience. All the specimens were exceptionally well-preserved, and the explanations were written in a clear and easy-to-understand style, making them easy for children to read. All the interactive exhibits were free, and the volunteers were incredibly patient with the children, even kneeling down to play with them at their own pace. The temperature inside was pleasant, and there were plenty of rest areas where children could sit when they got tired. The tickets were also inexpensive. The kids learned a lot throughout the day, making it far more meaningful than going to a crowded amusement park. Even after we got home, my child kept talking about the interesting things they saw.
