Located northwest of Chiang Mai's Old City, between the Old City and Chiang Mai University, lies Nimmanahaeminda Road, a renowned fashion hub and a favorite spot for Chiang Mai's young people. Tips for Exploring Nimmanahaeminda Road While the main road of Nimmanahaeminda Road is busy with traffic, the main area offers more than just shopping. Several quiet side streets perpendicular to Nimmanahaeminda Road also boast numerous interesting shops and attractions. These side streets, known as Soi in Thailand, are mainly concentrated on the odd-numbered side streets on the east side of Nimmanahaeminda Road, so don't miss them! However, remember to visit around 4 or 5 pm, as many shops are closed earlier. The pace of life here is slower, and people generally enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle. Unique and Diverse Architecture The area features a diverse range of architectural styles, from European to traditional Southeast Asian. Occasionally, you'll also spot the four-faced Buddha statues, a symbol of Thai faith. However, the most eye-catching features are the numerous colorful sculptures, each inspired by the theme of its respective shop. For example, if a restaurant is named after a cat, a giant cat sculpture will appear in front of it. Along the way, you'll also find deer, dinosaurs, and other sculptures, which many tourists take photos with. Walking along Nimmanahaeminda Road, you'll see a variety of charming shops, cafes, bars, and trendy boutiques, mostly owned by designers, artists, and celebrities. The designs are sophisticated, making even just strolling around a pleasant experience. Popular Food Spots If you get tired of shopping, you can relax at unique restaurants and cafes like the butterfly pea flower-themed restaurant, iBerry, Mango Tango dessert shop, and Ristr8to Latte Art Café, and sample some local delicacies. At the butterfly pea flower-themed restaurant, everything from rice and noodles to drinks is blue. It is said that the food here is dyed with Anchan, a blue flower from Thailand. The blue drinks sold on the streets of Thailand are also dyed with this flower, and it is said that adding honey will turn them purple.Chiang Mai · 17.2 km from Mae Rim

The Phra Singh Temple, the Ssangyong Temple and the Great Buddhist Pagoda Temple are called the “Three Great Temples of Chiang Mai” and are located at the western end of the ancient city of Chiang Mai. The temple was built in 1345 by King Phayu to commemorate his father. It was later expanded several times and is known for its awe-inpisiring Buddha statue. The decorations in the temple are splendid, with many exquisite wood carvings and murals narrating Buddhist stories. They are detailed, exquisite and lifelike and worthy of careful viewing. Phra Singh Temple are full of lush trees and rich with incense. There are many tourists here. If you visit here in the morning and evening during scripture time, you will see the monks chanting the Buddhist scriptures. They look very devout.Chiang Mai · 18.8 km from Mae Rim

Colorful Waterfall is located in Mae Deng District, Chiang Mai, and is a part of Mae Deng National Forest Park. The water source of the colorful waterfall is Rainbow Spring (or colorful spring), and the spring water contains a high amount of calcium carbonate. When the spring water falls, calcium is deposited on the rock, and calcium carbonate makes the rock surface less slippery, making it easy to walk towards the waterfall. Even if someone poured cement down the rock, it would harden underwater instead of setting on the rock. BuaTong Waterfall is a very worthwhile sight to visit. But don't come just for the waterfall, but also to see the beautiful forest.Mae Taeng · 26.2 km from Mae Rim

It was a lot of fun! First, we went to the local farmers' market to see some unique local ingredients, and then we went to a cooking school to learn how to make Thai food. The teachers were very welcoming, and the atmosphere was great. The venue was like a small garden with lots of beautiful plants and even a Chinese tortoise.

"Bua Tong Waterfall" in Bua Tong Waterfall National Park (Seven-Colored Fountain) A white, shiny limestone waterfall, a long path, almost 200 meters, with 3 levels in total, suitable for climbing and playing in the water (not slippery, easy to walk, there are ropes to hold on to all the way). It is not far from Chiang Mai city, only 52 km (about 1 hour). The route is easy and convenient. The asphalt road reaches the park.
