Wachau Cultural Landscape is a section of the Danube River valley stretching approx. 30 km between Melk and Krems, preserving traces of human settlement and cultivation since prehistoric times. Thanks to its beautiful scenery, it has become a popular tourist destination. The terraced vineyards and apricot orchards lining both banks continue a cultivation tradition that has lasted for thousands of years. Taking a cruise downstream from Melk to Krems is a classic way to explore this valley, where ancient towns, monasteries, castle ruins, and vineyards unfold slowly along the river. Those who prefer a slower pace can also cycle or hike along the river.Enjoying the beautiful scenery while tasting local white wine is a delightful experience.Rossatz · 20.4 km from Melk

Melk Abbey is a monastery that I like very much. I often imagine the scenes of the nuns moving around in it. It is actually a bit like the deep palace in China, and may not be so free.

Melk is famous for Melk Abbey and it is also the starting point of the Wachau Valley, so there are still many tourists. However, in the evening, most tourists do not choose to stay in the town, so the town has regained its tranquility. Strolling on the streets of the town, you can look up and see the majestic monastery on the hillside, which feels very unique.

An overall good experience with lots of historic reference s. Takes atleast 2-3hrs if you don't want to skip exhibition s. The musuem is open until 18:00 so plan accordingly. Many references only have a german description written next to them, but overall it is English friendly. Would only recommend this place if you are a big art enthusiast, and not just going in for a casual tour. The museum right next to it (natural history musuem) will be a better choice then.

Scanning the QR code at the entrance was quick and easy. The Belvedere Palace's art exhibition spans three floors, enough to easily fill a whole day. The park outside features fountains and sculptures depicting various figures from ancient Greek mythology. I sent photos and pictures of the sculptures to Doubao, and he explained them in detail.
