Quzi Cultural Park
The Quzi Cultural Attraction is backed by the green mountains of Yuxi, surrounded by the endless Miluo River, with green grasslands on its chest and clear lakes in its embrace. Its ecology can be described as a paradise. Climbing high and looking far away, the whole area is colorful, with clear layers and stretched shapes, just like a landscape painting. Miluo River
The Miluo River originates in Xiushui County, Jiangxi Province, and flows into Dongting Lake at the Miluo River Estuary. Its main stream, totaling 253 kilometers, is divided into two branches: the Miluo River in the south and the Luoshui River in the north. They converge at Qutan in Miluo City to form the "Miluo River," a tributary of the Xiangjiang River in northern Hunan. The banks of the Miluo River are lined with whitewashed villages, pink peach blossoms and green willows, simple folk customs, and lush aquatic plants, embodying the typical Jiangnan waterside landscape. The area boasts historical sites such as Qu Yuan's Tomb, the Quzi Shrine, and the Sao Altar. The Miluo River is also known worldwide because of Qu Yuan. Because of his advocacy of "reform of domestic affairs and the clarification of laws," Qu Yuan was ostracized by reactionary aristocrats and exiled south of the Yangtze River. He wandered to the Miluo River, where he spent nine years before committing suicide by drowning. It is said that his immortal poems, "Li Sao," "Nine Songs," and portions of "Nine Chapters," were all written near the Miluo River. It is said that after Qu Yuan jumped into the river, people along the river rowed boats to rescue him, which later evolved into the custom of holding dragon boat races on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month every year. Quzi Memorial Temple
Quzi Temple, also known as Qu Yuan Temple, is a temple dedicated to Qu Yuan. It was first built in the Han Dynasty and rebuilt in the 19th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1754 AD). It covers an area of 1,354 square meters and faces south. It is a single-story, single-eaved brick-wood structure with three entrances, three halls, and fourteen side rooms. There are three brick gates in front. On the wall of the main entrance archway are 13 reliefs depicting Qu Yuan's life achievements and his pursuit of ideals. Orange Isle Scenic Area
Orange Isle Scenic Area is a narrow sandbar lying across the heart of the Xiang River in Changsha, stretching approx. five km. It faces Yuelu Mountain to the west and borders Changsha's old city to the east, surrounded by water on all sides. Named after the abundant orange trees planted on the isle, it was historically called Shuiluzhou. Formed by river alluvium, this sandbar has existed for over a millennium, where the "River and sky in evening snow" scenery was once among the Eight Views of Xiaoxiang. In 1925, the poem "Spring in a pleasure garden - Changsha" was composed here, with its iconic line "Alone I stand in the biting fall, watching the Xiang River flow north past Orange Isle's head," which made this riverine landmark widely renowned. The highlights of the visit are concentrated at the islet's head: A granite art sculpture over 30 m tall, modeled after the 1925 youth image, stands facing the river as Changsha's highly recognizable landmark. Nearby, the Questioning Heaven Platform extends toward the river center, where leaning on the railing reveals the mighty Xiang River flowing northward, with Yuelu Mountain and the city skylines on both banks facing each other across the water. Renbishi Jinianguan
Renbishi Jinianguan is a specialized memorial hall commemorating Comrade Ren Bishi, a founding father of the People's Republic of China. The former residence officially opened to the public in April 1978. Renbishi Jinianguan was built and opened in April 2003, and completed quality upgrades in April 2014, just before the 110th anniversary of Comrade Ren Bishi's birth. Since its opening, the memorial hall has received an average of over 800,000 visitors annually, with a growing trend year by year. Every year, more than 800 groups of grassroots party organizations visit the hall to conduct distinctive activities. The memorial hall has established collaborative partnerships with over 200 schools, government agencies, enterprises, and communities both within and outside the province. Lake Dongting
Lake Dongting is the second-largest freshwater lake in China. This body of water is a vast remnant left behind after the recession of the ancient Yunmeng Marsh, and it has been known as "800-li Dongting" since ancient times. Influenced by siltation and the division of sandbars, the lake is generally divided into East Dongting Lake, South Dongting Lake, and West Dongting Lake. It is surrounded by mountains on the east, south, and west, and opens to the Yangtze River in the north. The lakes, river channels, and sandbars are intertwined, creating a landscape of plains and water towns. Classic spots for viewing the lake include Yueyang Tower and Junshan Island. Climbing Yueyang Tower and looking out from the railing, the lake view is fully captured, perfectly matching the atmosphere of "embracing distant mountains and swallowing the Yangtze River" described in Fan Zhongyan's "Yueyang Tower Record." Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park
Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park is named after the natural wonder "Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park - Tianmen Cave." Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is where Zhangjiajie tourism originates. "Everyone knows Zhangjiajie, but who recognizes Wulingyuan?" Many visitors are confused about the relationship between Zhangjiajie and Wulingyuan. Generally, Zhangjiajie refers to both Zhangjiajie City and the Zhangjiajie attraction. The Zhangjiajie attraction specifically means Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, which—together with Tianzi Mountain, Suoxi Valley, and Yangjiajie—forms the Wulingyuan scenic area. Since Zhangjiajie National Forest Park was developed earlier and gained greater fame, even Zhangjiajie City was renamed after it. As a result, people commonly use "Zhangjiajie National Forest Park" or "Zhangjiajie attraction" to refer to the Wulingyuan scenic area. In 2010, Wulingyuan's unique landform was officially named the "Zhangjiajie landform," becoming a globally recognized term and one of the few landform types in the world named after a specific region. The environment was beautiful, but the games were just average, the rules were inconsistent, and the game questions were somewhat questionable. The performances were uninteresting and not as good as street shows. I mainly went to Qu Yuan Temple, and there weren't many people during the May Day holiday.

As the source of Chinese Dragon Boat Festival culture, Miluo River not only has beautiful natural scenery, winding river, green mountains on both sides, and clear water, forming a beautiful landscape painting, but also carries a profound historical and cultural heritage. This is the place where Qu Yuan jumped into the river. The grand dragon boat race every year during the Dragon Boat Festival is a legacy of Qu Yuan's memory. Traditional arts such as Hunan opera, folk songs and dances have also taken root here, and Hunan style and Chu charm have been passed down from generation to generation.

There were no assigned seats, so you could sit anywhere. We spent most of our time on the third deck enjoying the view and taking photos. Although it was very hot outside, there was a breeze on both sides of the deck, so it wasn't too bad. There were karaoke machines and vendors selling snacks and drinks on both the second and third decks. The air conditioning on the second deck was very strong. We arrived at the pier half an hour early, and there was already a queue.

Ren Bishi’s former residence is a red tourist attraction. You can visit the place where Ren Bishi once lived, receive red education, and be influenced by the red culture. It is very interesting and worth recommending to everyone. It is a good choice!

The teacher explained things exceptionally well and was incredibly patient. You could tell the teacher had a deep knowledge of history and a unique perspective, which helped us think critically while learning. Even though there were many visitors to the provincial museum, the teacher always managed to find suitable angles for us to explore. Thank you so much, teacher! Last week, I went to Dongting Lake with friends. When we arrived in the morning, a thin mist was floating on the lake, creating a very atmospheric scene. We strolled along the lakeside path, enjoying the cool breeze carrying the moisture. We stopped at a roadside stall for some delicious fish; it was incredibly fresh. In the afternoon, we took a boat tour, where we could see the vast expanse of the lake, with Junshan Island appearing and disappearing in the distance. We spent the whole day there without getting bored, and every photo we took looked beautiful. I definitely want to bring my family back next time! 🌊

This place worth definitely a visit. Unfortunately the weather wasn't so good but neither so cloudy than you can't see anything. We took the escalator and completed the visit in 5:00 hours. Consider 1:30/2 hours just to complete the escalator up and down.

Tongguan Kiln National Style Park truly exceeded my expectations; the Tang Dynasty-style architecture is incredibly photogenic. During the day, you can explore the exhibition halls, try your hand at pottery, and watch street performances. The highlight is definitely the evening – the atmosphere is amazing when the lights come on. The Black Stone Ship stunt show is thrilling and breathtaking, with sparks flying everywhere as the iron is forged, creating a truly romantic Chinese ambiance. With a rich program, it's perfect for a family or friends' nighttime visit – definitely worth it!
