Visiting Kylemore Abbey was a wonderful experience. The renovated abbey and its visitor centre are imposing and interesting at the same time. Beautifully done and very interesting. The small Gothic church is as intricate as a mini cathedral and the gardens are magnificent and everywhere you look. With gifts and a coffee shop, (and a restaurant that goes back in time) we happily spent the best part of the day and loved every minute of it.

I took a quick tour with the tour group. At first glance, the scenery was rather rough and lacked lush greenery, which reminded me of the western part of Ireland, where criminals were exiled in the past...
