Okinawa memorial park is located by the sea in the northern part of Okinawa's main island. Built in August 1976 on the former site of the 1975 Okinawa international ocean exposition, the park carries the theme of "sun, flowers and ocean." The grounds are broadly divided into three zones: ocean, history & culture, and flowers & greenery, featuring an aquarium, dolphin shows, botanical gardens and beaches - perfect for a half-day visit. The ocean zone is particularly popular: Okinawa Churaumi aquarium, the park's flagship attraction, houses whale sharks and manta rays in its massive tank; the adjacent dolphin theater continues shows dating back to the exposition era; the manatee house hosts manatees gifted by the Mexican government, while the turtle house observes turtle growth and dolphin lagoon offers close-up dolphin viewing; emerald beach is an artificial coral sand beach within the lagoon, swimmable in summer. The history & culture zone's ocean culture museum displays hundreds of exhibits including large canoes, showcasing Okinawa's maritime connections with the South Pacific and Southeast Asia, along with an observatory; nearby Okinawa traditional village recreates a 17th-19th century Ryukyu kingdom settlement with red-tiled houses, elevated granaries and windbreak trees, accompanied by Soro botanical garden featuring over twenty local plants mentioned in ancient ballads. The flowers & greenery zone's tropical dream center maintains year-round orchid and tropical plant displays in greenhouses, while the tropical/subtropical urban greening garden and sunset plaza make worthy stops. The expansive park requires walking between zones, with electric carts available. While most visitors head straight for the aquarium, Okinawa traditional village offers a more relaxed pace with trilingual audio guides in historic houses and occasional sanshin performances, providing deeper immersion into Ryukyu's maritime heritage.Motobu · 15.1 km from Nago

Whenever they hear "Wanza Mao", everyone will be puzzled by this strange name. In fact, "Wanza" means "ten thousand people sit down", and "Mao" is an Okinawan dialect, meaning grassland and open space. Therefore, "Wanzumao" refers to a large lawn that can accommodate ten thousand people to sit down. This beautiful large lawn is located on a cliff by the sea, and the surrounding flora is designated as a natural monument by Okinawa Prefecture. From there, you can enjoy the sea and the sky, as well as overlooking the coral reefs under the cliffs and the magnificent view of the waves crashing on the shore. Wanzuomao is actually very small. It may take 10 minutes to walk around the semi-circle. The iconic scenic spot is that the cliff is shaped like an elephant's trunk, which is somewhat similar to the Elephant Trunk Hill in Guilin. From here, you can see pictures of coral reefs and stormy waves hitting the shore, and there are patches of green plant communities on the land. And here is also the location of film and television dramas such as the Hong Kong movie "Love in Okinawa" and the Korean drama "It's Okay, It's Love".Onna · 15.9 km from Nago

Buzena Marine Park is the only park on Okinawa with an underwater observation tower, where you can observe marine life such as colorful tropical fish up close, and you can see butterflyfish and butterflyfish through the glass when you walk down the spiral staircase. Clownfish wait and swim in the sea. Because it's indoors, you don't have to worry about the weather (a little rain or wind doesn't matter). In addition, there is a unique whale-shaped glass-bottom yacht in the park, which allows you to swim in the sea while feeling the sea breeze, and is very popular among children. It sails about every 20 minutes, and the voyage takes about 20 minutes.Nago · 7.3 km from downtown

The Gu Yuli Bridge spans the beautiful blue sea, connecting the house to the island and the ancient Yuli Island with the Okinawa version of Adam and Eve myths. The sea in Okinawa is called the "Seven Colors Sea". When driving through the Gu Yuli Bridge, the water on both sides is like jade. The color of the sea is blue and blue, and the depths are different, but it is crystal clear, and it is a very beautiful scenery.Nakijin · 11.3 km from Nago

I love theme parks and this is new concept for me. The rain/weather only added thrill to the atmosphere. There were also few visitors during my visit so I was able to do all the attractions that I wanted to do. The food in Panaroma Dining is delicious. The spa was also very nice. It was a great way to end the day!

We visited Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium as a family with our grown-up sons and had a fantastic time! The enormous aquarium with whale sharks and manta rays was absolutely breathtaking. We also enjoyed watching the colourful tropical fish and the dolphin show. Even though our boys are all grown up, we all had so much fun together. It was a wonderful family experience and definitely one of the highlights of our Okinawa trip!

In Nago City, a little far from Naha, you can play with the Churaumi Aquarium ~ Although it is not big, it is fun. Take a small train + automatic sightseeing car, there are Chinese commentaries, eat pineapple ice cream after sightseeing and buy souvenirs. It takes about 1 to 1.5 hours.

A special attraction in Okinawa. It is actually very small and I feel that I can walk around it in less than half an hour. I can see wild pineapples on the roadside. It feels quite fun. There is not much else to comment on. The sea is actually very blue~

Take a glass boat to see the fish, go to the bottom of the sea tower to see the fish, the sea is very blue, the glass boat is recommended to be larger than the sea tower, the ticket price can only be said to be standard. Take bus No. 120 to get here, the transportation is convenient, there are not many shops, so you can prepare some food and drinks.

The Kouri Bridge is so beautiful under the clear sky. The white bridge is reflected on the blue bridge. Below is the white beach and the clear sea water. There are different depths of sea water on both sides of the bridge. If you drive by yourself, I highly recommend this attraction.
