Palawan

Palawan

4.4
Palawan is located in the Mimaropa region of the southwestern Philippines and is one of the country's most iconic long, narrow islands. With a northeast–southwest orientation, its geographical location has allowed it to maintain a relatively independent ecosystem, making it one of the regions in the Philippines with the most well-preserved natural resources. Palawan is dominated by mountains and tropical rainforests, with a central ridge running the length of the island and complex coastlines and numerous small islands and reefs extending from both sides. In the northern and central areas, typical karst landscapes and lagoon systems have developed, creating a unique landscape of caves, limestone cliffs, and crystal-clear bays. Its economy is primarily based on ecotourism, fishing, and small-scale agriculture. Compared to other parts of the Philippines, it is less developed, thus retaining a strong sense of its original natural beauty and ecological diversity. Overall, Palawan is a long, narrow island that encompasses mountain, rainforest, and marine ecosystems. With its highly intact natural environment and low-density development, it has become one of the important ecotourism destinations in the Philippines.Narra · 21.5 km from downtown

The underwater coral reefs here are complete in variety, huge in area, rich in color and strange in layout, which are among the best in the world. Located on the island of Miniloc, not far from the small lagoon, it is the specialty of El Nido. The scenery on both sides of the strait is very similar to the Guilin landscape on the sea. It is very beautiful. You can only visit the beautiful scenery on both sides of the strait on a boat, or you can go canoeing, swimming and snorkeling in the sea.El Nido · 16.6 km from downtown

Coron Island is an absolute paradise that exceeded all my expectations. The breathtaking limestone cliffs rising from the crystal-clear, turquoise waters create a stunning landscape. During my visit, I explored Kayangan Lake and Twin Lagoons, both of which offer incredibly serene views and fantastic swimming spots. The underwater life is vibrant, making it a perfect destination for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. The local guides were friendly, and the entire boat tour experience was smooth and memorable. I highly recommend visiting this magical island if you love nature and adventure. It is truly a must-see destination

El Nido is worth a visit. It has amazing natural landscapes, with many limestone islands with special shapes, and the sea water flowing between the islands looks like pearls on the sea. The beach is very beautiful, like the white and soft sand of Nacpan Beach, walking on it is like walking on clouds, very suitable for sunbathing, strolling or building sand castles. The sea water is very clear. In shallow places, you can directly see the corals, seaweed and various beautiful fish on the seabed. In deeper places, you can also see the underwater world. Snorkeling and diving enthusiasts will definitely like it. Moreover, the coral reefs on the seabed are diverse, like underwater gardens, and are the home of many marine creatures. The marine activities here are also very interesting. It is a world-famous diving resort. When diving, you can see colorful corals, cute clown fish, slow-moving turtles and other marine creatures up close. It is like a dream world underwater. You can also rent a boat to shuttle between the islands, explore hidden beaches and small bays, and feel the fun of sailing on the sea. The food in El Nido is also very attractive, with fresh seafood such as grilled fish, shrimps, and crabs, as well as various tropical fruits such as mangoes and durian. These delicacies allow tourists to taste the local flavor.

Kayangan lake is one of the most popular sights on the island and is included in the Coron island hopping cruises that depart from town on a daily basis. My family went to Coron and we went island hopping, cliff diving and the tour is inclusive of lunch of seafood and fruits and vegetables. It was a truly memorable experience
