Uluru is located in the red earth outback of the Northern Territory, Australia, and is an iconic natural landmark within the national park. It is a massive sandstone formation that rises from the surrounding relatively flat desert plains, with the rock mass rising approx. 348 m above the ground and a base circumference of approx. 9.4 km. The rock surface features distinct grooves, cracks, steep walls, and depressions, and as the light changes, it displays different hues such as red, orange-red, and brownish-red. The surrounding area is characterized by red earth, sparse shrubs, drought-tolerant plants, and an open desert landscape. Visitors can enjoy the color changes of the rock at sunrise and sunset from designated viewing points, or hike along the open trails around the rock to observe the rock walls, caves, rock art, and seasonal waterholes.Petermann · >100 km from downtown

Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is located in the Northern Territory of Australia's red soil center. Most of the tourists who come here come with a group tour, the purpose is to come to see the big stone - Uluru Ayers Rock. . Uluru is the largest monolithic monolith in the world, formed 600 million years ago. The overall color of the rock is ochre red, the smooth surface shimmers under the sun, and it pierces the sky in the vast desert of nothingness, which is both spectacular and mysterious. The color of the rock changes over time, showing incredible power. Kata Tjuta, which means "many heads", is located about 40 kilometers west of Uluru and is made up of 36 domed rocks. Like Uluru, Kata Tjuta also changes colors depending on the sun's rays. Yulara is a service community of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, similar to a resort, located just north of the park, about 20 kilometers from Uluru and about 53 kilometers from Kata Tjuta, is well known for exploring this area. A closer base for attractions. Yulara is also where accommodation, food and other services are provided.Petermann · >100 km from downtown

Kata Tjuta - Valley of the Winds is located within Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park and is one of two hiking routes for exploring Kata Tjuta / Mount Olga. The other is the Walpa Gorge trail. The Kata Tjuta - Valley of the Winds loop is arguably one of the most challenging and rewarding hiking routes in the park. It is approx. 7.4 km long and takes 3–4 hours to complete. While it tests your stamina, you can experience the ancient majesty of Kata Tjuta / Mount Olga and enjoy breathtaking views of the Red Centre desert plains. Actually, the Kata Tjuta - Valley of the Winds trail is not particularly difficult, but you need to wear sturdy, durable shoes and bring plenty of drinking water. We recommend starting early in the morning to hear the wind echoing through the valley and the birds singing, experience a unique sense of solitude, and avoid the heat of the day.Petermann · >100 km from downtown

The Kings Canyon in Watarrka National Park is another miracle left by nature in the Northern Territory. It is the deepest, steeper and most spectacular canyon in Australia. The canyon is more than 1,000 meters long, with a height difference of 270 meters, and the cracks are abnormally flat. The canyon was formed 300 million years ago and is rich in layers. The rocks in the canyon are colorful, ranging in color from milky white to brownish yellow to germanium red to deep purple. "Big Foot" and "Braised Pork", with a little imagination, you can create your Kings Canyon memory by naming all kinds of strange-shaped rocks. You may not think that in such a fiery and dry canyon, there is an oasis called the Garden of Eden hidden. Rows of green and deep natural water holes are dotted with red canyon cliffs. If you can't believe it, then go ahead and touch it decisively! The most suitable way to visit Kings Canyon is naturally to climb on foot. The sun is too strong at noon, so the hiking time is early morning and evening. It generally takes 3 hours to hike. There are three main routes on foot in Kings Canyon: one is to take the Kings Creek Walk to the center of the canyon. People with less physical strength are recommended to take this route. You can look up on a viewing platform. Breath-holding canyon cliffs; the other road is the edge trail, which is lined with red rocks and rocks. If there is no one in front of you at the moment, you will have a desolate and exotic feeling, and you will feel like you are on a moonwalk. This route is suitable for physical strength. For better people, it takes about 3-4 hours; the third route has a total length of 21 kilometers, which is suitable for those who are physically crazy. The sun is hot, walking in the canyons, and the wind passing through the wilderness, so just listen to the wind while walking.Petermann · 7.5 km from downtown

Wataka National Park is located 330 kilometers southwest of Alice Springs. The red cliffs scattered here form a magnificent view of the lunar surface. Lurigans lived here as early as 20,000 years ago. The well-known scenic spot in the park is Kings Canyon, known as "Australia's Colorado Grand Canyon", with lush bushes and swimming pools growing deep in the canyon. It is relatively easy to visit Kings Canyon by the Kings Creek Walk (Kings CreekWalk), about 2 kilometers round-trip. Climb along the rocky bed of the stream to a raised platform with breath-taking canyon cliffs.Petermann · 8.5 km from downtown

Field of Light Uluru

Field of Light Uluru

As darkness falls and Uluru is thrown into silhouette, Field of Light illuminates. As far as the eye can see, gentle rhythms of colour light up the desert. Created by internationally celebrated artist Bruce Munro, the critically acclaimed, award-winning Field of Light Uluru is aptly named Tili Wiru Tjuta Nyakunytjaku - ‘looking at lots of beautiful lights' in local Pitjantjatjara. One of Munro's large installations, it is overwhelming in scale – covering more than seven football fields – and invites immersion in a fantasy garden of 50,000 spindles of light, the stems breathing and swaying through a sympathetic desert spectrum of ochre, deep violet, blue and gentle white.Yulara · 2 km from downtown

Uluru (Ayers Rock) is very mystical. Initially, I only booked the sunset and sunrise tours, but that was a tour to view the whole of Uluru from a little distance. I wanted to see it up close, so I joined a tour that went around Uluru. I was able to see it up close and even touch it. There were some areas where I couldn't take photos, so I can't show you everything, but I was impressed by the majesty of nature like I'd never seen before. I recommend it!

Is this a place you must visit once in your life? Calling out Love in the Center of the World... We came during the local summer, which is considered the off-season. There were not many people because it was too hot. We also encountered a rare thunderstorm and the Wilderness Starlight Show was cancelled.

It's so beautiful. Bring enough water and try your strength. It's very dry and there are a lot of flies. Be sure to wear sunscreen. The blue sky, white clouds and the sea are seen. The rocks in this desert scenery will shock you!

[Scenery] I think it is best to use the time from the morning sun to the sunset to visit Kata Tjuta. The hiking trail is rugged due to the long distance! [Fun] Watarrka National Park is worth a visit
