Hardangerfjorden

Hardangerfjorden stretches for nearly 180 km, extending from the Atlantic coast south of Bergen deep into the inland hinterland. Unlike many stark fjords, the climate here is mild, and apple and cherry orchards stretch across the hillsides on both banks. During certain seasons, the blooming flowers on the mountains contrast with the remaining snow on the peaks, creating a unique natural view. The views along the fjord are rich and diverse, featuring not only magnificent cascading waterfalls but also numerous waterscapes where visitors can walk through or view from a distance. The surrounding cantilevered viewing platforms and cross-sea bridges provide visitors with expansive vistas. When driving across the bridges or touring by boat, the magnificent scenery of the mountains and waters intertwined on both banks is fully visible. There are many scenic parking spots and trails along the route. Self-drive tours, boat cruises, or kayaking are all common ways to explore. The rich glacier and mountain resources also provide diverse exploration options for outdoor enthusiasts, bringing an unforgettable fjord nature experience to visitors who have traveled from afar.Kvam · 26.7 km from Rosendal

Mount Floyan is near the harbour. You can visit in one day. There are lush trees on the mountain, many of them are towering trees. The air is very fresh, the altitude of the mountain is not high, there are hiking trails, it is very suitable for climbing, and it is very interesting to climb. You can also choose a cable car and a small mountain train, which is also a must-see for tourists.Bergen · 58.8 km from Rosendal

Munch is one of the must-visit attractions in Oslo. The museum houses a vast collection of Edvard Munch's paintings, sketches, letters, notes, photos, and other precious materials, offering you a comprehensive understanding of Munch's life. Interestingly, the reason Munch has been able to preserve and display so many of Munch's works and historical materials is that he was not a best-selling artist during his lifetime. As a result, many of his works remained unpublished until his death. Munch had a habit of keeping his works with him during his lifetime, and upon his death in 1944, he bequeathed all the works in his possession to the city of Oslo. The museum was established in 1963 and moved to its current seaside location in 2021. The museum houses three versions of "The Scream" — oil painting, sketch, and print — which are rotated for display due to the light sensitivity and fragility of the paper-based works, with at least one version usually on view. Masterpieces such as "Madonna," "The Sick Child," and "Puberty" are also part of the collection, and the combinations of works in different galleries are regularly changed, offering new arrangements with each visit. For large-scale works, don't miss the two-story gallery showcasing monumental pieces like "The Sun." The upper floors also feature floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the fjord and the opera house, perfect for a rest or photo opportunity.Norway · Oslo

Fishmarket in Bergen

Fishmarket in Bergen is located on the wharf in the center of Bergen, facing the old town of Bryggen across the harbor. It has long been a trading hub for fishermen, farmers, and citizens. In the past, fishermen from outside the city would row small boats into town to sell their daily catch and row back home the same day. The stalls are stacked with king crab, fresh shrimp, cod, and fresh salmon. You can also find rare ingredients like sea urchin and whale meat. Many stalls allow you to taste before you buy or have food prepared on the spot; boiled shrimp and smoked salmon sandwiches are common ways to enjoy it. The fish market consists of two parts: an open-air stall area by the water and an indoor food hall. The open-air area is open in summer. In addition to seafood stalls, there are also stalls selling fruits, berries, vegetables, and flowers, as well as souvenir shops. After exploring, you can walk to the opposite side to continue your tour of Bryggen.Bergen · 59.2 km from Rosendal

There is the famous Atlantic Ocean Coast Highway here. It is 8.3 kilometers long and was opened to traffic in 1989. It consists of 8 bridges, spanning between small islands and reefs. You can enjoy the natural landscape of each small island along the way. When I visited in early June last year, the road was closed due to the filming of the latest 007 movie. I missed the most magnificent section of the highway and could only take a walk and take photos nearby!

The Munch Museum is most famous for its three paintings, including "The Shout." They are truly the museum's treasures. Only one painting is exhibited approximately every half hour. The view from the windows is also absolutely stunning, making it well worth a visit.

The fish resources here are also very rich. Many professional locals mainly buy big fish. The fish market is also very lively. There are still many people buying fresh fish. You can taste the fish here.
