Bled is one of Slovenia's most iconic destinations and one of the most recognizable Alpine landscapes in Europe. The famous scene of Lake Bled with its island church and castle perched high above the water looks almost unreal — and seeing it in person is even better.Lake Bled is the heart of the destination. The emerald-green lake is surrounded by forests and mountains, with a small island sitting dramatically in the middle. The combination of water, mountains, church and castle has become one of the most famous images of Slovenia.Walking around the lake is one of the simplest and most enjoyable ways to experience Bled. The scenery changes continuously as you move around the shoreline, giving you completely different perspectives of the island and castle.⛪ Bled IslandBled Island is the only natural island in Slovenia, making it one of the country's most unique landmarks. The traditional way to reach the island is by pletna, a wooden boat operated by a local pletna boatman.Once on the island, visitors can climb the famous 99 stone steps to the Church of the Mother of God on the Lake.According to local tradition, ringing the church's wishing bell can make your wishes come true. The island's bell tower also offers views over the lake and surrounding landscape.🏰 Bled CastleBled Castle sits dramatically on a 130-metre-high cliff above Lake Bled.

The Three Bridges are also called Triple Bridges. They are three bridges with the main bridge and the auxiliary bridge side by side. The shape is really rare. The main bridge and the auxiliary bridge were built in different eras. The auxiliary bridge is mainly for pedestrians. There are corridors between the bridges, with bars, coffee shops, stalls, etc. Some locals sit on the street and in the bar, drinking a cup of coffee for half a day and a glass of beer to get drunk.

Ljubljana Castle is a beautifully preserved hilltop fortress that offers a perfect blend of history, scenery, and culture. Reached by a funicular or a scenic walk, the castle provides breathtaking panoramic views over Ljubljana’s charming old town and its red-roofed skyline. Inside, you’ll find fascinating exhibitions, medieval architecture, and engaging interactive displays that bring the city’s past to life. The Watchtower is a highlight, offering the best vantage point for photos. With its peaceful courtyards, cafés, and vibrant events, the castle feels both lively and relaxing. Ljubljana Castle is a must-visit landmark, adding depth and beauty to any trip to Slovenia’s capital.

Personally, I feel that the area around Mariborsko Pohorje Ski Resort is like a small Switzerland, with colorful low-rise houses, gravel roads, lawns, and trees, all very fairy-tale-like and very interesting! The local people are simple and honest.

The central square of a city was initially used as a market and public gathering place, and later was also used for issuing announcements, holding trials, celebrating festivals, etc. It usually houses a large number of religious and commemorative buildings.
