Capilano Suspension BridgeLocated in North Vancouver, the 137-meter-long suspension bridge is suspended 70 meters in the air. It is one of the highest pedestrian suspension bridges in the world. More than 100 years ago, it was built by local aborigines using hemp ropes and thick wooden planks. Under the bridge is the fast-flowing Capilano River. When the wind blows through the valley, the suspension bridge sways and makes a sound that sounds like a person's laughter, so it is also called the "Laughing Bridge." 1. Natural scenery The suspension bridge spans the Capilano River and a large area of dense forest. Walking on the suspension bridge, you can not only enjoy the beautiful scenery of the forest, but also have a panoramic view of the snow-capped mountains in the distance and the nearby river valley. You are completely surrounded by nature. If you are lucky, you can also see the gorgeous rainbow caused by the river water vapor. 2. Adventure Experience Cliff Walk: A glass walkway is built between vertical cliffs. There is a deep abyss under your feet, and looking out at the distant scenery from above becomes a thrilling experience. Treetop Adventure: A road is connected by iron ropes and wooden planks halfway up a giant tree, dozens of meters above the ground. You can feel the breath of nature in the forest. 3. History and Culture Near the suspension bridge stands a totem pole representing the culture of Canada's "First Nations" Aboriginal Indians, which is worth stopping to take a look. In the carved wooden house near the store, you can also see Indian carvers demonstrating their carving skills.North Vancouver · 40 km from Squamish

The British Mining Museum was established in 1971 to protect and make more people aware of British Columbia's mining history and related technologies. Participate in the activities of going down the mine in the museum, get on the mine truck, put on a lighted safety helmet and enter the mine, observe the surroundings of the mine and listen to the museum tour guide to explain the mine operations and the life of the miners. The Mining Museum is also very suitable for bringing children together. Children can experience the gold rush in the big waves and find gold from the water, which is very interesting.Squamish-Lillooet · 9.4 km from Squamish

FlyOver Canada

4.6/5
186 reviews
FlyOver Canada is an immersive flight simulator located at Canada Place in downtown Vancouver, taking you on a "suspended flight" to see the landscapes of Canada from beginning to end. After settling into a motion seat that dives and climbs with the screen, your feet dangle in the air while a giant spherical screen with a diameter of about 20 m appears before you. Accompanied by wind blowing in your face, fine water mist, and scents from the scenes, you even feel a chill during the winter shots, making you feel as if you have truly been lifted into the high sky. The current featured film, "Awaken Canada," spans the entire country: starting from the Arctic ice fields, diving into deep ice caves, brushing past narwhals in the water, and then sweeping over old-fashioned sailing boats off the coast of Nova Scotia, the peaks of the Yukon, the sand dunes of Saskatchewan, as well as skiers leaping on the snowy slopes of Quebec's old city and frozen waterfalls in the Rockies. In addition to this signature film, there are other flight films themed around the Rocky Mountains that you can choose to add based on your interests.Vancouver · 46 km from Squamish

Canada Place is a landmark building in Vancouver, located in Downtown Vancouver, originally the pier of the Canadian Pacific Railway. Construction began in 1983, and in 1986 it opened as the Canada Pavilion for Expo 86. The building was designed by Eberhard Zeidler, and its distinctive topside feature is five sets of white fiberglass sails that resemble a sailing ship, similar in design to the Sydney Opera House, making it very striking. Its interior is a mixed-use complex, and it is also the main cruise terminal for the south coast of British Columbia, with cruises to Alaska departing from here. In addition, as a tourism hub that combines leisure, experiences, and services, it contains many must-visit attractions. The plaza's "FlyOver Canada" is Canada's only 4D simulated flight attraction, allowing visitors to have an immersive experience of traveling across Canada.Vancouver · 46 km from Squamish

This was an incredible experience! The views eating lunch at the top were amazing. Looking down over the lake and mountain ranges. The suspension bridge was incredible! This is a must do experience. There is a cafe with grab and go items and a restaurant at the top. There are shops both at the top and bottom of the gondola with fun items! The ride isn't for those with height fears as the gondola does jerk and shift throughout the ride. The hike might be more height fear friendly.its nice trip

The Haitian Highway is also a very interesting complex of buildings here. Some of the facilities on the highway are also quite fun to visit. The Haitian Highway is also an option for self-driving tours. When the weather is good, the view is also very beautiful.

The entire Shannon Falls is particularly spectacular. Although it cannot be compared with the Huangguoshu Waterfall, the surrounding scenery can fully make up for the few shortcomings here. The scenery is picturesque, with beautiful mountains, clear waters and fresh air.

The bridge was very scary because the each side doesn’t balance . My youngest child was a little overwhelmed, when we were trying to walk the bridge was shaking a lot. Therefore it is worth it for an experience for my kids.🤗😅😃😁

Strolling beneath the white sail-shaped roofs of Canada Place, I felt like I was sailing in the harbor! The five-sail building reflecting the shimmering waters of the bay was so stunning that I couldn't help but snap a dozen photos from different angles. Walking along the wooden walkway, watching seaplanes take off and land and seagulls fight over fries was truly captivating. I also stopped by the FlyOver Canada experience center, where the 4D flight simulator over the snow-capped mountains was incredibly realistic! The evening sun painted the harbor a molten hue. I sat on the steps, munching on ice cream and watching the cruise ships arrive and depart, lost in thought for an hour. My only complaint was the strong wind that tangled my hair—but that's Vancouver's effortless charm, huh?

Many hotels flaunt their "high-end" status, but this one hides its "thoughtfulness" in every unseen corner. The corridor carpet is short-pile, making no sound underfoot and ensuring guests in the adjacent rooms aren't disturbed. The glasses in the rooms are placed upside down on clean cotton mats, not in cheap plastic sleeves, and have a faint, sterilized scent. The minibar drinks don't feature expensive imported brands, but rather refreshing local beverages, all free of charge with no hidden costs. In the morning, sitting on the terrace, the air is filled with the fragrance of grass and trees, and complimentary cool boiled water is on a small table, each cup covered with a small dust cap. There are no grand surprises, but every detail is meticulously crafted, understated yet instantly warming your heart. This is a hotel that truly understands the meaning of accommodation.
