Gold Coast Sea World is a long-established marine theme park in Australia, located along the coastal area in the northern part of the Gold Coast. It combines marine animal exhibits, animal shows, and amusement rides into one park, offering both wildlife viewing and thrilling attractions. Animal encounters are the main highlight here: the penguin exhibit houses king penguins and gentoo penguins, where visitors can watch them waddle or dive into the water through viewing glass set against an icy landscape. The polar bear shores recreate the rocky coasts and pools of the Arctic summer, providing a rare chance to see polar bears in Australia. Shark Bay teems with sharks and rays, while the nearby ray reef allows hands-on interaction with rays. At seal harbor, Australian sea lions and fur seals bask on the shore or playfully chase each other in the water. The park hosts multiple daily dolphin shows and sea lion educational presentations—it's recommended to check the day's time slots upon arrival to plan your itinerary, and arrive early to secure seats for popular shows. Families with children shouldn't miss Nickelodeon Land, where animated characters like SpongeBob, Patrick Star, Dora, and PAW Patrol's Chase and Marshall meet travelers for photos. Thrill-seekers can tackle the wooden coaster Leviathan, the motorbike-style Jet Rescue coaster, and the splash-filled Storm Coaster. △ Meet your favorite animation characters △ Get close to marine life △ Experience thrilling amusement itemsMain Beach · 30.3 km from Tamborine

Gold Coast beach stretches for approx. 70 km, and its golden sand is a hallmark of this coastline, which is how it got the name Gold Coast. The sand is fine and glows with a warm golden luster in the sunlight, while the water transitions from a shallow turquoise near the shore to a deep blue in the distance, creating distinct layers. The beach features several distinct sections along its length, with a lively atmosphere in the north and a relatively quieter vibe in the south, catering to visitors with different preferences. Surfing is a signature, long-standing experience at this beach. The coastline boasts several famous surf breaks, including the Superbank near Snapper Rocks, which is known for producing long, hollow waves that attract a large number of surfers year-round. Surf lifesavers patrol the beach, and red and yellow flags mark safe swimming areas. A coastal walkway connects the various beach sections, making it a great way to explore by walking or cycling. The beach enjoys abundant sunshine and a mild climate year-round, with different sections catering to various needs.Surfers Paradise · 33.1 km from Tamborine

One of the most charming places in Tianbaolin Mountain is the art trail, which is a 500-meter-long art trail decorated with quaint and beautiful handmade souvenir shops, cafes and dessert shops. Tianbaolin Mountain is 525 meters above sea level. It is a large mountain on the Gold Coast with lush greenery. The Tianbaolin Mountain National Park between the mountains is a national park in Queensland. Tempolin Mountain is only a 30-minute drive from Surfers Paradise. But the hinterland far from the Jinsha blue sea and the noisy crowd is another world. Compared to the seaside areas of the Gold Coast, the temperature here is a few degrees cooler and the culture is very different.Mount Tamborine · 6.2 km from Tamborine

Suitable for the whole family, if you arrive early when it opens, the queues for the three thrilling roller coasters are shorter. There are shows, and drop towers and roller coasters suitable for younger children. The ice cream in the park is delicious.

The rides and attractions are good. However, most of the rides got only one staff operating the process. Even though not many people were queuing (maybe around 30), we had to wait for at least 30 mins or more. Therefore we didn’t have enough time to play.

The main reason to visit the Tamborine Mountain Glow Worm Caves is the fun and freedom of self-driving. You can see a lot of animals and plants, and it feels great to be close to nature! It is also very suitable for seeing the surrounding scenery, which is a good feeling!

The Temporin Mountain National Park in Gold Coast is located not far from the Gold Coast. The forests here are dense, and you can overlook the sea view of Gold Coast from the viewing platform on the top of the mountain. There are many wild parrots living in this national park. They are colorful and very beautiful. They fly around in the forest like little elves.

5 stars for the degree of enjoyment and 5 stars for the degree of excitement. Try to avoid weekends and holidays, as the queues under the sun are too long. If you go in the morning, it is recommended to grab a good position in the surfing pool after arriving. There is a row of lounge chairs on the shore.

It was so much fun, much better than Tokyo DisneySea! The lines for the rides were shorter, and there were shows and interactions with manta rays. It's a shame we arrived a bit late in the morning and missed out on so many rides. The only downside was that the daily operating hours were too short. It's perfect for the whole family (the worst part is that adults aren't allowed to ride the carousel because they're tall; they can only ride in small cars, ugh).
