Tottori Sand Dunes
The Tottori Sand Dunes are located in the eastern part of Tottori Prefecture, with a length of about 16 kilometers from east to west and a width of about 2 kilometers from north to south. They are relatively large sand dunes in Japan. This is a mountain peak formed by the accumulation of volcanic ash falling on the mud sand of the Chiyogawa River. It is a masterpiece of nature created after 100,000 years of wind and waves from the Sea of Japan. There are depressions as deep as 40 meters and hills as high as 50 meters on the sand dunes; there are patterns called "wind patterns" blown out by strong winds, and there are sand curtains that slide down like an avalanche from the surface of the sand dunes. These magnificent sand dunes are ever-changing. never stopped. Take the cable car down to the coastline, and you can enjoy the majestic and expansive scenery of the boundless sea and sand dunes. One moment it felt like walking into a desert, then after climbing over the highest sand ridge, the sea suddenly opened up, and the wind picked up instantly—that moment was well worth it.
The sand dunes themselves are more undulating than I imagined, especially the "Horse's Back" section. It doesn't seem like much from a distance, but you'll definitely feel the strain as you climb.
The sand is very soft; you sink a little with every step. In summer, the sun is directly overhead, making it much more physically demanding than at ordinary tourist spots.
But precisely because of this, when you reach the top and look back, the vast expanse of sand, the tiny figures of people, and the distant sea blending into one create a very unique sense of vastness.
Remember to bring enough water; you'll find yourself expending a lot of energy without even realizing it.

It was more impressive than I expected!!!
I look forward to seeing the new works every year!

There are rabbits, rabbits and more rabbits everywhere!
It looks like it would be a good omen to go in 2023, the Year of the Rabbit♡
The votive plaques and charms were also very cute with rabbit patterns♡

The perfect check-in attraction is the White Rabbit Coast🐇 Looking from the side, it seems like a rabbit jumping forward, so cute😍The white beach is in the shape of a bow, the water is clear and the sand is fine. It is a very beautiful coast that many locals will appreciate. The sunset🌄 adds a lot of romantic feelings!
Summer has become a popular place for Japanese people to play in the water and surf. In autumn, it is also a good choice for picnics. It is so comfortable to walk on the beach and have lunch. I highly recommend this coast located in the western part of Tottori Sand Dunes💯

Wonderful !!! We stayed from 9 a.m. till 10 p.m. so much fun for kids and adults ! Nintendo zone was a blast ! Harry Potter zone is amazing ! Back to childhood ! Amazing experience! Lots of snacks and food that makes staying comfortable. Long queues though. Bu tot was a pleasure even to be there !
