University Malaysia Sabah Masjid

University Malaysia Sabah Masjid is located on the main campus of University Malaysia Sabah in the suburbs of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. It is widely known as the Pink Mosque due to its soft rose-pink exterior walls. It sits on a gentle hill within the campus, backed by the foothills of Mount Kinabalu, and is surrounded by the university's botanical garden and an artificial lake. Together with the marine research institute complex in Likas Bay, it forms a cultural landmark along the coast. University Malaysia Sabah Masjid features a Middle Eastern design, with five domes (one large and four small) paired with slender minarets, and a three-story structure. The interior decoration follows a minimalist style: the wooden railings of the corridors on each floor are carved with geometric star patterns, the mihrab and minbar feature geometric wood carvings, the bronze-colored iron side doors and the book racks at the base of the columns are quite exquisite, and it is fully equipped with facilities such as prayer halls for men and women, ablution areas, and a lecture hall. Sunlight filters through the openwork lattice, creating a soft contrast between the pink walls and the dark wood trim. Whether you are observing quietly inside or taking photos from the outside, it is very photogenic.Kota Kinabalu · 19.4 km from Tuaran

The speedboat shuttled through the mangroves, swam in the Menghe mangroves, and watched the super beautiful sunset at sea, which was especially spectacular and shocking. There are many fireflies in the mangroves, and they all stop on the trees, turning the whole tree into silver balls. There are also water houses inhabited by the Bajau people in the mangroves, which are also very distinctive.Tuaran · 9.8 km from downtown

We chose this hotel for a short family trip because of its tranquility, and after our stay, everyone raved about how great our choice was. It doesn't follow trends or try to be trendy; it exudes a quiet elegance without being ostentatious. From the moment we entered, even the elderly in our family couldn't help but say, "This place makes us feel so at ease." The entire hotel space is exceptionally bright and airy. There are no cramped corridors or overly complicated decorations. Several thriving green plants line the hallways, and even the air is free of pungent aromatherapy, only a subtle, natural fragrance. The staff were exceptionally patient with the elderly and children, proactively bringing small snacks for our kids and thoughtfully providing warm milk. The rooms were spacious enough that the elderly didn't feel cramped at all. Two wicker chairs were placed on the small balcony by the window, where the whole family could sit, drink tea, and enjoy the courtyard view—it was incredibly pleasant. In the morning, the courtyard is filled with the scent of plants, and the wind, filtering through the eaves, carries the distant chirping of birds. In these moments of peace and tranquility, the tension of our daily lives completely melts away. The most precious thing about traveling isn't how many sights you see, but that the whole family can have a peaceful rest. This hotel perfectly meets that need, and we'll definitely choose it again for future family trips.

The University of Sabah is really big, and walking is not recommended. We drove there by ourselves, but you can also charter a car. The Pink Mosque is known as the most beautiful university in Southeast Asia. There are many young ladies taking pictures, which is really photogenic. But this is a mosque after all, so everyone should pay attention to respecting religious beliefs when entering.

The whitewater rafting trip covers approximately 15 kilometers during high water and 7 kilometers during normal water. The slope is between 2 and 3 degrees. On the way to the Jiulu River, you'll pass traditional villages and lush rice paddies.

Kota Kinabalu City Mosque is a stunning architectural gem that appears to float on its surrounding lagoon, creating a mesmerizing sight at sunrise and sunset. Inspired by the Nabawi Mosque in Medina, its elegant blue and gold dome, along with its towering minarets, makes it one of the most picturesque mosques in Malaysia. The peaceful atmosphere, combined with the opportunity to explore the mosque by paddle boat, adds to its unique charm. Whether visiting for prayer, photography, or quiet reflection, this mosque is a must-see landmark in Sabah. Five stars – A blend of spiritual beauty and breathtaking scenery. #KotaKinabaluMosque #FloatingMosque #SabahTravel #MalaysiaBeauty
