Warrnambool is a port city on the southwest coast of Victoria, Australia, and the endpoint of the famous Great Ocean Road. Every year from June–September, southern right whales migrate from Antarctica to these waters to play and give birth. It slowly developed from a small town in 1855 into the beautiful, sizable city it is today. During the Victorian gold rush, this city was not left behind; it served as a maritime hub because its port allowed for direct departures to the Southern Ocean, which drove the city's development. The 1850s were a golden age of rapid growth for the city, with not only agriculture but also education developing quickly. Today, it is home to three colleges and a university campus.Warrnambool · 1.3 km from downtown

The tour to Great Ocean Road was taken by the guide named Vance who is frequent with both English and Chinese. Since I only speak English and Japanese, it was helpful that guide can speak English too.The tour was operated quite strictly about time, so the tour went so smoothly than I expected. In the tour, you don’t need to worry about the problem of language because the guide always left the paper which show what time you should come back to bus.The guide Vance is kind and funny, and I really enjoyed his guide and recommendation. And I really enjoyed the beautiful view and it was stunning!!!!

It is worth a visit. I stayed for 10 minutes and saw two koalas in the tree. When I was about to drive, two ostriches came out. They were not afraid of people at all.

With beautiful scenery, mature education, culture, sports and tourism, it is the city with the fastest population growth and the strongest economic development momentum in Victoria. The city's infrastructure construction is developing rapidly, and the city has built the most advanced hospital on the southern coast of Victoria. In early May every year, the famous Warrnambool Cup Horse Racing Festival is held at the local racecourse.

We visited Deep Blue Hot Springs in Warrnambool during peak season in January, so it was busy. Another guest mentioned visiting in July when it was almost empty, so that might be worth considering if you prefer quieter times. Sessions are booked in advance, and the twilight session (6 pm–9 pm) is adults-only, with no children under 16. Since we were on a romantic road trip, this suited us perfectly. At first, it felt a bit overwhelming with so many people wandering around choosing pools, but as the evening went on, things calmed down, and everyone found their own relaxing spot. My favorite area was the waterfalls—you can sit in a cave under the cascade and unwind. However, large groups can sometimes be noisy, especially in the caves. Thankfully, there are plenty of quieter spaces to retreat to.The cold water immersion was a standout for me—it’s refreshing and prepares you for your next soak. Remember to bring a swimsuit, towel, and water bottle. The staff were lovely, and we appreciated staying at the adjoining hotel. The café was charming and reasonably priced. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and absolutely worth it!

The picture you have of a dog with a muzzle and spike collar is not appropriate for a Whale Nursery picture. Because of this you have zero rating from me!!

The scenery is still very good in this city. It has its own characteristics. The architectural style is relatively simple. The local food is quite rich. The price is not expensive... I still recommend it
