This is China's westernmost post office—where the wind scatters addresses to "the ends of the earth," where crimson cliffs and snow-capped ridges press into the gaps of wooden window frames, molding the wilderness's ruggedness into soft light on envelopes. Here, postmarks bear the snow of the Kunlun Mountains, and every letter carries the last glow of dusk from the Pamirs—while postmen elsewhere have returned home, the western winds still etch "the emerald hues of mountain peaks" and "the whisper of clouds brushing snow summits," stroke by stroke, into love letters sent back to the world. A solitary outpost in the wild, it seals the romance of earth and sky within every page. Stretching along the G581 border highway toward the horizon, a road sign suddenly catches the eye—"Last Rays of Sun Viewing Platform" gleams against the Kunlun Mountain snow ridges. Just 5 km further, you'll embrace the lingering twilight along China's border. While darkness falls elsewhere, the clouds here still bask in the afterglow of snow-capped peaks: summits turn molten gold, then melt into rose-hued mist. The crisp plateau wind stretches the sunset's glow across the mountain ridges into an endless, poetic ribbon. Standing in the wind, you'll watch the boundaries between snow and sunset soften, realizing this "belated dusk" is nature's gift of slowed time—a romance reserved exclusively for the western wilderness.Wuqia · >100 km from downtown

Wuqia Colorful Mountain is located in Tuoyun Township, Wuqia County, Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang. There are two colorful mountains here, one is also known as the Ancient Sea Shipwreck, and the other is Monk's Hat Mountain. Monk's Hat Mountain is where Tang Monk's hat was blown off when he passed through the Pamir Plateau on the southern route of the Silk Road when he was seeking Buddhist scriptures in the West. Due to the high altitude, strong winds and sand, and unpredictable climate of the Pamir Plateau, the Monk's hat was blown off here and turned into a colorful mountain. According to experts, this mountain was formed in the Tertiary System and is a Yadan landform formed by the superposition of red sandstone and gypsum layers.Wuqia · 24.3 km from downtown

The confluence of the Tianshan and Kunlun Mountains is located in the eastern part of the Pamir Plateau in Xinjiang. The Kizil River serves as a natural boundary, where the Tianshan Mountains (north side) and the Kunlun Mountains (south side) meet, creating a unique landscape where one can "see two mountains and stand on two different lands." The Tianshan Mountains are camel-colored, with an average altitude of over 4,000 meters; the Kunlun Mountains are dark blue, with an average altitude of over 5,500 meters. The vibrant colors and striking contrast of the two mountain ranges create a dramatic interplay of time and space, truly a world-class geological wonder.

my country's Westernmost Village is located in Smuhana Village, Jigen Township, Wuqia County, Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang. It is also the port leading to Ilkestan. The Westernmost here is not the westernmost end of my country's territory. The westernmost end is on the Pamir Plateau at an altitude of 5,000 meters. It is a place with ice and snow and few people. Smuhana Westernmost Village has the iconic building of the Westernmost. You need to apply for a border pass in advance to get here. When you get here, you can experience the latest sunset time in my country. As a first-time visitor to Xinjiang and here, it feels very magical.

Wucai Mountain is not that great. The stones nearby look like they have been artificially painted, and it is hard to tell whether they are real or fake. But it is right next to the road, and it is free anyway, so you can just check in as you pass by.

The scenic area isn't large, and you can explore it quickly. The shuttle bus and cable car take you directly to the Tianmen (Heavenly Gate) at the top of the mountain, which is very convenient. The Tianmen landscape is unique, with distinctive geological features and a prestigious title.
