Things to do in Xing'an County

We originally booked a discounted twin room, but upon arrival at the hotel, we were upgraded to a deluxe king room. The room was well-equipped, clean, and we had a very pleasant stay! Unfortunately, we encountered heavy fog, but walking through the fog on the summit of South China was still a pleasant experience. The sea of ​​clouds, starry sky, sunrise, and sunset at South China's highest peak – I hope to see it again sometime!

It's definitely worth a visit. The ancients were so wise. I made a special day trip to Xing'an when I came to Guilin. I really liked this town. The Xing'an Museum and the Red Army Long March Crossing the Xiangjiang River Memorial Hall are also great.

This emerald green is absolutely captivating at first sight 💚. A very off-the-beaten-path, incredibly beautiful place, definitely worth a visit. It's also very cool in summer. The green water is simply irresistible.

There is not much food, only instant noodles can be bought. It is better to bring your own food with your children. There is no shuttle bus when you go there. It takes only 15 minutes to walk to the water play point. The pool at the bottom is the clearest, which is suitable for younger children.

In order to carry forward the historical and cultural heritage, Xing'an County rebuilt the Qin Emperor's Palace. It is located at Gubei Gate, Zhenshui Street, and crosses the Dragon Bridge. It inherits the charm of Lingqu Canal and is the temporary palace of Qin Shihuang. When you enter the palace, you will see a garden-style imperial villa with waterfalls, towering ancient trees, winding paths, layers of curtains, and pavilions. Walking slowly, you can appreciate the imperial style and royal luxury, but it always feels very deserted.

The Lingqu Canal, which has been around for thousands of years, is worth a visit. It is recommended that you ask a tour guide to explain the three major water conservancy projects of the Qin Dynasty. Huazui, with its 3:7 water distribution of the large and small scales, is truly worthy of praise. It shows the wisdom of the ancients and the wonderfulness of the water conservancy projects.

When visiting Guilin, a must-see is Elephant Trunk Hill, the city's iconic landmark. It truly lives up to its reputation as the face of Guilin's landscape; only by seeing it in person can one truly appreciate the wonders of nature. The entire mountain sits on the banks of the Li River, resembling a giant elephant bowing to drink from the water. The Water Moon Cave cuts through the mountain, its reflection shimmering in the water, creating the famous Elephant Trunk Hill and Water Moon spectacle—a flowing ink painting. The scenic area is clean and comfortable, with walking paths built along the Li River, shaded by lush trees, making for a delightful stroll. You can climb the mountain for panoramic views of Guilin, or find classic vantage points along the riverbank to capture stunning, atmospheric photos. Boat trips are also available, offering a different and breathtaking perspective of Elephant Trunk Hill from the river. The scenic area is conveniently located in the city center, with excellent transportation and comprehensive facilities. Every step reveals a new vista, allowing you to truly experience the unparalleled beauty of Guilin's landscape. Don't miss it when traveling to Guilin; it's definitely worth a visit.
