Things to do in Yibin

This was my second time driving to Shunan Bamboo Sea. The stunning bamboo scenery, world-class beautiful environment, pure psychological healing, fresh air with negative oxygen ions, the valley where you can forget your worries, the babbling brooks, the misty mountains, and the dreamlike beauty of driving along the forest trails—it's like a dream, a mesmerizing experience, a fairyland, a painting—a place you should cherish forever!

Overall, it was a good experience. The entrance to the scenic area features exposed rock formations that can be visited for free. Once inside, you can walk or take a sightseeing bus to see the narrow gorge, Couple Peaks, Bo People's Village, hanging coffins, a large sinkhole, and an underground cave. Finally, you can take a boat out of the cave and then a bus back to the entrance.

Lizhuang Cultural Tourism Area, located in Cuiping District, Yibin City, boasts a history of over 1400 years and a rich cultural heritage. The area features antique architecture, with cobblestone streets and Ming and Qing dynasty buildings complementing each other. During the War of Resistance against Japan, Lizhuang served as a cultural center for the resistance, where scholars such as Liang Sicheng and Lin Huiyin studied and left behind a wealth of historical imprints.

Hejiangmen is one of the most worthwhile places to see in Yibin, where the Jinsha River and the Min River converge to form the Yangtze River. Yibin is thus known as the "First City of the Yangtze River." As dusk falls, the city is brightly lit, and the large characters "骐骥驰骋" (meaning "Galloping Horses") and "势不可挡" (meaning "Unstoppable Momentum") stand out prominently in the distance, creating a captivating night scene.

Yibin is truly underrated! This city boasts the confluence of three major rivers—the Minjiang, Jinsha, and Yangtze—truly deserving of its title as the "First City of the Yangtze River." The most pleasant thing to do during the day is to lean on the riverbank railing and watch the giant fish swim by; at night, with the lights on both banks, the entire river becomes romantic. After a long day of exploring, find a small shop for a bowl of spicy noodles, accompanied by the aroma of Wuliangye liquor (you don't even need to drink it, just the smell is intoxicating), and you'll feel instantly healed. Travel lovers, don't miss this incredibly relaxing place!

The scenic area might not be very popular, and it's actually quite short, mostly going up and down. The roads are slippery when it rains, which isn't ideal for the elderly. It's basically just walking around; there's not much to see. If you're going to the bamboo forest, I'd say it's optional. The sightseeing bus is just a large Coaster bus. Luckily, we didn't buy tickets and had our family pick us up by car.

This is one of the must-see attractions in Shunan Bamboo Sea. Along a road about 300 meters long, there are lush green bamboos growing on both sides. Strolling through it is a refreshing experience.

This is the longest cable car I have ever taken. There were not many people there on the day I went, so there was no need to queue. It was very leisurely and the experience was great!
