Bernina Express
Bernina Express is one of the most iconic scenic railways in the Alps. The train departs from Chur in the Canton of the Grisons, Switzerland, passes through Saint Moritz, the Bernina Pass, and the Poschiavo Valley, and arrives in Tirano, Italy, connecting mountains, glaciers, lakes, canyons, and Southern European towns along the way. The Bernina and Albula railways were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2008. The joy of riding the train lies in the ever-changing natural scenery along the route. The train travels through the high Alpine region, where you can see the Morteratsch Glacier, the Bernina peaks, and Lago Bianco, and reaches the highest point of the line at Ospizio Bernina station at approx. 2253m. The journey from Chur (Switzerland) to Tirano (Italy) and back to Chur will take almost the whole day. I’d consider this as one of the most beautiful scenic trains in the world. Bernina Express will not disappoint you. Lifetime experience indeed.

The journey to Heididorf was fantastic. I love the very green sceneries on both sides of the road. Heidi's village was rather small. It was said that the location was the inspiration of the setting of the story of Heidi. though some parts were replicas, like Heidi's Alpine hut and school, it was still a lovely feeling being there.It just created smile on my face the whole time I was there.

It's a very inconspicuous house. If it wasn't built right next to the National Parliament, or if you hadn't made a travel guide in advance, you wouldn't have known it was a world-class philatelic destination. There's no sign outside, and the stamps are dazzling.
