Van Gogh Museum
•The Van Gogh Museum houses more than 200 of Van Gogh's classic oil paintings, 580 drawings, four sketchbooks, and approximately 750 letters Van Gogh wrote to his brother Theo. •Let's revisit the arduous journey of this master artist's lifelong pursuit of painting skills and his passion for art and literature. •The old and new museums each have their own unique characteristics, yet they are integrated into one. △The old building was completed and opened to the public in 1973. The Van Gogh Museum was designed by Dutch De Stijl architect Rietveld. The new building was designed by a Japanese architect and completed in 1999.
